We cannot assume we have unlimited time to prepare for intelligence greater than our own.
My vision is clear: make human advancement a central priority. Invest in biotechnology, neuroscience, and biophysics to develop stronger minds, more resilient bodies, and greater human independence.
By “superhumans,” I mean people with expanded capabilities: better learning and memory, improved tissue repair, greater resistance to disease, and longer healthy lives. These are research ambitions, with different levels of feasibility—not a package science has already delivered.
If we devote enormous resources to expanding machine capabilities, we should bring comparable ambition to advancing humanity.
But stronger bodies alone will not preserve our freedom. We also need the knowledge, institutions, and practical authority to challenge and control the systems we build. Human enhancement must complement AI safety and accountable governance.
No one knows a deadline for losing control, and enhancement cannot guarantee protection. That uncertainty is a reason to prepare thoughtfully.
The future we build should make humans more capable of shaping their own destiny.
Advance humanity. Preserve human agency.

We should slow the race toward dangerously autonomous AI while accelerating human advancement through regenerative medicine, biotechnology, cognitive enhancement, neural interfaces, protective materials, and human-controlled machines.

WILL HUMANITY REMAIN ABOVE AI?
Many people fear that artificial intelligence will eventually surpass humanity. But fear alone will not protect us—and slowing AI indefinitely may also limit extraordinary progress in science, medicine, energy and space exploration.
We should allow AI intelligence to advance rapidly while ensuring that human capability evolves with it.
AI possesses extraordinary advantages:
• Vast information storage
• Rapid computation
• Pattern recognition
• Global scalability
Humans retain different strengths:
• Intuition
• Meaning and purpose
• Moral responsibility
• Embodied experience
• Creativity and wisdom
However, these advantages will matter only if we continue developing them.
The next stage of human evolution may emerge through advanced biophysics:
🧬 Regenerative medicine to repair cells and organs
🧠 Neural augmentation to strengthen memory and cognition
⏳ Longevity science to slow aging and resist disease
🔬 Cognitive preservation to protect identity and experience
🤝 Human–AI symbiosis that keeps AI as an instrument—not a sovereign
Biological and mental immortality remains a scientific aspiration, not a demonstrated capability. Yet research into cellular rejuvenation, brain–computer interfaces, neuroprosthetics and cognitive preservation may gradually extend both human life and human capability.
At the same time, advanced AI must remain governed by human-defined goals, restricted access, independent oversight, shutdown mechanisms and recovery systems. Humanity created AI; humanity must retain the authority to direct it.
This is not about destroying AI or teaching it to fear us. It is about becoming capable enough that no artificial system can independently control civilization.
AI can help humanity advance exponentially—but human wisdom must determine the destination.
Humanity becomes cosmic not by suppressing intelligence, but by mastering itself, governing its creations and expanding responsibly beyond Earth.
