Shariq Siddiqui and Sabith Khan, co-authors of “Islamic Education in the United States and the Evolution of Muslim Nonprofit Institutions,” said there is a misunderstanding around the schools. They examine this in their book, which maps the history of the Muslim-American nonprofit sector and its growth and impact on American society.

A new Pew Research Center survey finds that the main reason people regularly go to church, synagogue, mosque or another house of worship is an obvious one: to feel closer to God. But the things that keep people away from religious services are more complicated.
Among those who attend no more than a few times a year, about three-in-ten say they do not go to religious services for a simple reason: They are not believers. But a much larger share stay away not because of a lack of faith, but for other reasons. این کنفرانس یک روزه، در گرامیداشت روز جهانی زن (هشتم مارس) و روز مادر در ایران (هفتم اسفند-26 فوریه) و با همکاری دانشگاه زیمبابوه و رایزنی فرهنگی جمهوری اسلامی ایران در حراره برگزار خواهد شد و تلاش می‌کند نقش، جایگاه و حقوق زنان را در مسیحیت، اسلام و ادیان بومی آفریقا بررسی کند.

This will be a one-day conference held in partnership with the Cultural Centre of the Iranian embassy, as part of the celebrations for the 2019 International Day for Women on March the 8th and Iranian Day for Women on February the 26th. The conference seeks to deliberate on the role, status and rights of women in Christianity, Islam, African Traditional Religions and other religions.
