According to a report received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, Roya Ostovar, a Baha’i citizen, has been sentenced by Branch 11 of the Investigative Office of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Isfahan, presided over by Vahid Hemmatnejad, to five years’ imprisonment, a fine of 165 million tomans, and fifteen years’ deprivation of social rights.

According to the report, Ms. Ostovar was interrogated on June 21, 2024, upon her entry into Iran at Isfahan Airport, and all of her electronic devices and passport were confiscated. Two months later, she was summoned and questioned by the Ministry of Intelligence Office in Isfahan. On October 25, 2024, after appearing before the court pursuant to a formal summons, she was released upon posting bail in the amount of one billion tomans.

The hearing in her case was held on January 21, 2026, in her absence, with her legal counsel present. According to the report, during the proceedings the presiding judge stated that “half of these disturbances are because of the Baha’is.” Ultimately, the court convicted her of dissementing propaganda contrary to Islamic law and insulting Islam, sentencing her to five years’ imprisonment, a fine of 165 million tomans, and fifteen years’ deprivation of social rights. She was also sentenced to one year’s imprisonment on the charge of dissementing propaganda against the regime. Pursuant to the issued judgment, the most severe punishment—five years’ imprisonment—was declared enforceable.

محمدجواد تاجیک، مدیرعامل سازمان بهشت زهرا، در نشست خبری با رسانه‌ها تایید کرد که برخی از پیکرها آثار «تیر خلاص» داشته‌اند و ادعا کرد حدود ۷۰ درصد کشته‌شدگان توسط آنچه او «تروریست‌ها» خواند، جان خود را از دست داده‌اند. به گفته او، استدلال این ادعا، اصابت مستقیم گلوله به نقاط حساس بدن از جمله سر، چشم، قلب و پهلو و حتی وارد شدن ضربات با «تیغ موکت‌بری» بوده است.
تاجیک همچنین اظهار کرد که هنگام مشاهده برخی از پیکرها، آثار تجهیزات بیمارستانی از جمله آنژیوکت (وسیله‌ای پزشکی برای تزریق سرم یا انتقال خون به رگ بیمار) را روی بدن تعدادی از جان‌باختگان دیده است. دیدن پیکر کشته شدگان با آنژیوکت نشان‌دهنده آن است که فرد در بیمارستان و در حال دریافت مراقبت‌های پزشکی بوده است.

پیشتر گزارش هایی از زدن تیر خلاص به پیکر مجروحان، و یا بازداشت مجروحان توسط ماموران در بیمارستان ها، گزارش شده بود.

Mohammad Javad Tajik, head of Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery — the main public cemetery in Tehran — stated during a press conference that some of the bodies brought there bore signs consistent with what is commonly referred to as a “coup de grâce,” or a final shot fired at close range. He claimed that approximately 70 percent of those killed died at the hands of what he described as “terrorists.” According to Tajik, this conclusion was based on gunshot wounds to vital areas such as the head, eyes, heart, and abdomen, as well as injuries allegedly caused by carpet razor.
Tajik also said that he observed medical equipment, including intravenous catheters (angiocatheters — devices used to deliver fluids, blood, or medication directly into a patient’s vein), on some of the bodies. The presence of such equipment suggests that certain victims had been receiving medical treatment prior to their deaths.
Previous reports have alleged that some injured individuals were shot again after being wounded, and that others were detained by security forces inside hospitals.

گزارش تازه از نحوه کشته‌شدن سام افشاری؛ احتمال تیر خلاص در بیمارستان

بر اساس اطلاعات تازه ای که به مرکز اسناد حقوق بشر ایران رسیده، جزئیات بیشتری از نحوه زخمی‌شدن و مرگ سام افشاری، نوجوان ۱۷ ساله، به دست آمده است.
طبق این روایت، سام در حوالی اعتراضات میدان طالقانی کرج و در هنگامی که همراه معترضین بوده، از پشت سر هدف گلوله ماموران امنیتی قرار می گیرد. در حالی که مردم تلاش داشتند او را به داخل پارکینگ یک ساختمان در حوالی چهارراه پامچال و در نزدیکی مرکز خدمات «پلیس+۱۰» منتقل کنند، ماموران امنیتی او را با خود بردند.
این منبع افزود که یک پرستار بیمارستان مدنی به او گفته که همان شب نوجوانی ۱۶ تا ۱۷ ساله که در جریان اعتراضات زخمی شده بود، به بیمارستان منتقل و در نهایت در همان بیمارستان با تیر خلاص ماموران، کشته شد. بر اساس این روایت و نزدیکی بیمارستان به محل زخمی شدن سام، احتمال زیادی وجود دارد که آن نوجوان همان سام افشاری بوده باشد.
به دلیل شرایط امنیتی و محدودیت دسترسی آزاد به اطلاعات، امکان تأیید مستقل تمامی جزئیات گزارش در حال حاضر وجود ندارد.

According to new information received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC), additional details have emerged regarding the wounding and death of Sam Afshari, a 17-year-old protester.
Based on this account, Afshari was shot from behind by security forces while participating in protests near Talaghani Square in Karaj, Alborz province, on January 8, 2026. Witnesses say that as civilians at the scene attempted to carry him into the parking area of a nearby building at Pamchal intersection — close to a “Police+10,” a civilian administrative center that provides law enforcement–related public services such as identity and passport processing — security forces intervened and took him away.
The source further stated that a nurse at Madani Hospital reported that on the same night, a 16- to 17-year-old protester who had been wounded was brought to the hospital and was ultimately killed there by what was described as a “coup de grâce” shot by security personnel. Given the hospital’s proximity to the location where Afshari was wounded, the source believes there is a strong possibility that the teenager referenced was Sam Afshari.

در روز ۲ اسفند ۱۴۰۴ و هم‌زمان با نخستین روز بازگشایی برخی دانشگاه‌ها پس از اعتراضات خونبار دی‌ماه، تجمعات اعتراضی در دانشگاه صنعتی شریف، دانشگاه صنعتی امیرکبیر (پلی‌تکنیک) در تهران و دانشگاه علوم پزشکی مشهد برگزار شد.

دانشجویان در این تجمعات شعارهایی از جمله «جاویدشاه»، «نترسید نترسید ما همه باهم هستیم»، ««دانشجو داد بزن، حقتو فریاد بزن»، «آزادی، آزادی، آزادی»و «مرگ بر سه فاسد، ملا چپی مجاهد» سر دادند و یاد جان‌باختگان اعتراضات دی‌ماه را گرامی داشتند.

گزارش‌ها حاکی است که در دانشگاه صنعتی شریف درگیری‌هایی میان دانشجویان و نیروهای وابسته به نهادهای حکومتی رخ داده و درهای دانشگاه برای مدتی بسته شده است. همچنین در دانشگاه صنعتی امیرکبیر دامنه اعتراضات به خیابان‌های اطراف دانشگاه کشیده شده است. گزارش‌هایی نیز از برگزاری تجمعات مشابه دردانشگاه علوم پزشکی مشهد منتشر شد.

On February 21, 2026, coinciding with the reopening of several universities following the deadly January protests, demonstrations were held at Sharif University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology (Polytechnic) in Tehran, as well as at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

Students at these gatherings chanted slogans including “Long Live the Shah,” “Do not be afraid, we are all together,” “Student, raise your voice, shout your rights,” “Freedom, Freedom, Freedom,” and “Death to the three corrupts — the cleric, the leftist, the MEK,” while commemorating those killed during the January protests.

Reports indicate that clashes broke out at Sharif University between students and individuals affiliated with pro-government groups, and the university gates were temporarily closed. At Amirkabir University, demonstrations reportedly spilled into surrounding streets. Similar gatherings were also reported at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

Mehrpouya Abdollahi Piani, a 24-year-old resident of Fooladshahr, Isfahan Province, was buried on February 4, 2026. He had been shot and arrested in Kerman on January 8, 2026, and was subsequently subjected to a period of enforced disappearance.

According to information received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, Mr. Abdollahi, who was a student in Kerman at the time, went missing after sustaining gunshot wounds during protests. Despite repeated inquiries and sustained efforts by his family to determine his condition and whereabouts, authorities allegedly failed to provide any information. The family reportedly received his body on or about February 1, 2026.

Certain sources have stated that his body bore visible gunshot wounds and other injuries; some accounts circulated on social media, however, have not referenced these alleged findings.

Reports further indicate that security forces conditioned the release of his body upon the family’s compliance with specific demands, including signing a written statement identifying him as a member of the Basij or paying a sum of money reportedly requested by the authorities.

Given restrictions on access to information and the prevailing security conditions imposed upon the families of deceased individuals, independent verification of all reported details remains unavailable.

بر اساس گزارش‌های دریافتی از سوی مرکز اسناد حقوق بشر ایران، مهرپویا عبداللهی پیدنی، جوان ۲۴ ساله اهل فولادشهر، که در تاریخ ۱۸ دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ پس از اصابت گلوله در کرمان توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و ناپدید شده بود، روز چهارشنبه ۱۵ بهمن‌ماه به خاک سپرده شد.

آقای عبداللهی، دانشجوی ساکن کرمان، پس از زخمی شدن در جریان اعتراضات مفقودالاثر شد و پیگیری‌ها و تلاش‌های خانواده وی برای اطلاع از وضعیت او بی‌نتیجه ماند. بنا بر این گزارش‌ها، خانواده او پس از مراجعات و پیگیری‌های مستمر، حدود ۱۲ بهمن‌ماه پیکر وی را تحویل گرفتند. برخی منابع از وجود آثار اصابت گلوله و جراحات بر بدن او خبر داده‌اند، در حالی که در شماری از گزارش‌های منتشرشده در فضای مجازی اشاره‌ای به این موضوع نشده است.

همچنین گزارش شده است که نیروهای امنیتی تحویل پیکر را منوط به پذیرش شروطی از سوی خانواده کرده بودند؛ از جمله امضای تعهدنامه‌ای مبنی بر بسیجی بودن وی یا پرداخت مبلغی که از سوی آنان مطالبه شده بود.

با توجه به محدودیت‌های دسترسی به اطلاعات و شرایط امنیتی اعمال‌شده بر خانواده‌های شهروندان کشته‌شده، تأیید مستقل تمامی جزئیات این گزارش‌ها در حال حاضر امکان‌پذیر نیست.

بر اساس اطلاعات رسیده به مرکز اسناد حقوق بشر ایران، دو برادر به نام‌های مسیح عباسخانی دوانلو و محسن عباسخانی دوانلو که در جریان اعتراضات دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ بازداشت شده‌اند، هم‌اکنون در زندان ساری نگهداری، و با اتهام «محاربه» و خطر صدور حکم اعدام مواجه هستند.
این دو برادر در روز ۱۸ دی‌ماه در خیابان ها حضور داشته‌اند. در جریان درگیری‌ها میان معترضان و یک نیروی بسیج، تنش فیزیکی کوتاهی رخ داده است. مقام‌های قضایی کشته‌شدن یکی از نیروهای بسیج را به این دو برادر نسبت داده‌اند.

According to information received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC), two brothers, Masih Abbaskhani Davanlou and Mohsen Abbaskhani Davanlou, who were arrested during the January 2026 protests, are currently being held in prison in Sari, Mazandaran Province, and are facing charges of moharebeh (“waging war against God”), an offense that carries the death penalty.

The report received by IHRDC indicates that both detainees were present in the streets on January 8, 2026. During clashes between protesters and a member of the Basij paramilitary force, a brief physical altercation reportedly occurred. Judicial authorities have attributed the killing of a Basij member to the two brothers.

According to a report received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, Amirhossein Raznahan, a 17-year-old from Yasuj in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, was arrested on Saturday, February 14, in front of Yasuj Martyrs’ Cemetery, reportedly following a violent confrontation. The report further alleges that he was subjected to torture during interrogation. He is currently being held at the city’s juvenile rehabilitation and detention facility, raising serious concerns about his physical wellbeing and the conditions of his confinement.

Azar Saheli, the sister of Mehdi Saheli, who was killed during protests in Ramsar, has reportedly been detained by Islamic Republic security forces after delivering a speech at the 40th-day memorial ceremony for her brother. She was taken to an undisclosed location.

در ویدیویی که از مراسم چهلم منتشر شده، آذر ساحلی در حالی که لباس سفید بر تن دارد، می‌گوید زمانی سیاه می‌پوشم که قاتل برادرم تاوان دهد. مهدی ساحلی روز ۱۹ دی‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ در رامسر هدف شلیک مستقیم گلوله نیروی امنیتی قرار گرفت و جان باخت.

A fortieth-day memorial ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 18, for three members of one family: Bijan Mostafavi, Zahra Bani Amerian, and Danial Mostafavi.

Bijan Mostafavi, a 55-year-old retired education worker, Zahra Bani Amerian, a 48-year-old retiree of the Social Security Organization, and their 19-year-old son, Danial Mostafavi, a computer science student, were killed on Friday, January 9, 2026, during nationwide protests in Gohardasht, a district of Karaj in Alborz province, when their vehicle was reportedly struck by gunfire from state security forces. The family’s older son, Davoud Mostafavi, 27, was seriously wounded and transferred to hospital.

According to reports, the family located and identified the bodies the following day at the Kahrizak morgue in Tehran. Sources indicate that security officials conditioned Davoud Mostafavi’s release from hospital on the burial of his family members without a public ceremony and before sunrise. The victims, originally from Sonqor in Kermanshah, were ultimately buried in Sonqor Koliai under heavy security measures.
