Hamidreza Dorostkar, a political prisoner held in Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz, continues to be denied reinstatement to the prison's open-leave program. Despite meeting the legal requirements, prison and judicial authorities have refused for months to restore this privilege.

According to information published by human rights sources, Dorostkar was granted open-leave status several times during his sentence. However, each time the privilege was revoked, and he was returned to prison.

Based on received information, Dorostkar, who is married and has a child, was most recently barred from returning to the program after being sent back to prison because of an Instagram Story that had been posted before the outbreak of the war.

He has now spent several months in exile after being transferred from Behbahan Prison to Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz. Despite the passage of time, judicial and prison officials have yet to approve his return to the open-leave program. Reports also indicate that his conditions in prison remain poor.
