Hamzeh Darvish, a Sunni prisoner held in Lakan Prison in Rasht, was taken to the prison infirmary after reportedly being beaten by prison officials and several conscript soldiers. Since the incident, his family has been unable to contact him, while prison authorities have refused to provide any information about his condition.

According to HRANA, the incident occurred after Darvish released an audio message criticizing conditions at Lakan Prison. The report states that prison authorities, accompanied by several conscript soldiers, later entered his ward to transfer him. When Darvish resisted, he was allegedly assaulted by the officers. According to the report, the injuries were severe enough that he had to be taken to the prison infirmary on a stretcher.

HRANA also reported that Darvish's personal belongings have been removed from his ward, raising concerns that he may be transferred to another ward or prison. His family has not been able to reach him since Sunday, and prison officials have declined to provide any information about his condition.

Hamzeh Darvish, a native of Talesh, has been imprisoned in Lakan Prison since 2020. He was originally sentenced to 14 years in prison in this case, but the sentence was later reduced to 10 years and six months after he accepted the court's ruling.
