Nazila Maroufian, a journalist who was released on bail on Sunday, was rearrested and taken to Qarchak prison. Her arrest took place when she went to the police station to retrieve her mobile phone. She was severely beaten by police officers and arrested along with her mother. Her mother was released later. According to a witness at the police station, one of the police officers  punched Maroufian in the back of her head.  When her mother screamed that they wanted to kill her daughter like Mahsa Amini, the officer said: "Yes, just like we killed her, we’ll kill your daugther too."
