How could the US turn wartime demand into permanent demand?

This is one of the reasons there will be no peace negotiated with Iran, because the US desired this chaos from the onset and seeks to either maintain or incrementally escalate it.

The US faces munition shortages, but not so much as being incapable of periodic rounds of violence targeting Iranian energy production/exports and deliberately provoking attacks from Iran on Persian Gulf Arab energy production/exports.

The imposed and expanding US blockade also ensures energy remains under constant threat, thus maintaining this "coincidental" surge in US oil/gas exports which never made sense to develop in the first place short of planning such a conflict from the very beginning...
