A joint assessment by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Lebanonโs National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) reveals that the recent Israeli aggression has caused approximately $1.38 billion in direct structural damage to southern Lebanon.
By analyzing and comparing satellite tracking data from October 2025 to late April, researchers found that Israeli attacks completely leveled 11,095 buildingsโdirectly impacting nearly 18,000 housing units.
โThe devastation extends beyond total destruction, with thousands of other structures caught in the crossfire. The report details that an additional 2,242 buildings suffered partial damage, while 9,311 sustained minor structural impacts.
