Welcome to the digital euro, where your money no longer belongs to you, but is only lent to you... with an expiration date.
The EU drafts are a nightmare straight out of Orwell's drawer:
Article 7: Merchants MUST accept the digital euro. Cash? It will be gradually phased out.
Article 13: Expiration date for your money. If you don't spend it properly, it expires.
Article 16: Maximum savings limit: your account will be artificially limited.
Article 24: Programmable money. Today, a CO₂ limit; tomorrow, meat rationing.
Article 25: Linked to your digital identification. Don't have an ID? No money.
Article 29: Sanctions. One wrong word, and your account is blocked.
And to prevent anyone from protesting too loudly, there is also a limit on transactions (article 37) to keep banks in check.

Generative #AI has broken that assumption.
Fraudsters increasingly have access to virtual cameras, emulators, compromised devices and techniques to manipulate the data an application receives. In an injection attack, synthetic or manipulated media can be introduced directly into an identity verification flow rather than presented to a physical camera. The verification system may believe it is examining a person captured by a device sensor. What it is actually evaluating is a manufactured signal.
