During an interview with Tucker Carlson, Witkoff claimed Russian-speaking regions of Ukraine wanting to join the Russian Federation were a key issue of the conflict;
In reality it is simply a consequence - root cause is the US and its use of NATO to encircle/contain & attempt to absorb Russia - a root cause not being addressed during US-Russian negotiations;
In fact, the only stance of the #Trump administration re: #NATO is to EXPAND funding, arms production, and its overall military power;
