Palestinian journalist Hassan Eslaih was transported to the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, to undergo surgery after being severely injured in last night's Israeli horrific attack on the journalists' tent at Nasser Hospital.
He sustained lacerations to the fingers of his right hand and a head injury.

The Washington Institute for Near East Policy compiled a genealogical tree of Ahmed Al-Sharaa (Abu Muhammad al-Julani):
🟡 Among his ancestors were merchants and landowners, many of whom took part in the uprising against the French Mandate authorities in the first half of the 20th century;
🟡 cousin Farouk al-Sharaa (born 1938) is a high-ranking official under Hafez and Bashar al-Assad, serving as foreign minister (1984-2006) and then vice president (2006-2014);
🟡 Father Hussein al-Sharaa (born 1944) - Arab nationalist and renowned economist;
🟡 brother Hazem al-Sharaa (born 1975) - General Manager and Deputy CEO of Al Hayat - Pesi Group ; by decision of the new president, he is acting director of the Syrian Investment Agency;
🟡 brother Maher al-Sharaa (b. 1974) — a doctor, until 2023 he worked as a gynecologist in Voronezh, held the position of Minister of Health in the Syrian transitional government, and has now been appointed head of the General Secretariat (presidential administration).
🇸🇾 It is gratifying to see that the revolutionary Syrian leader comes from a very ordinary family and does not drag his relatives into power. Unlike the Assads.

In the early hours of April 7th 2025, Israel directly targeted a Journalist tent in close proximity to #NasserHospital. Two Journalists were killed in the attack, with seven others injured, with two in critical condition.
Israels targeting of journalists is nothing new. Throughout the Gaza Genocide, 232 Journalists and media workers have been killed.
"More journalists, in total, have been killed in the Iraq War than in war in Gaza since October 7, 2023 but the death tolls are not comparable (due to time frame). From the U.S. invasion on March 19, 2003 through March 26, 2025, 285
journalists and media workers were killed in Iraq - roughly 13 per year.
In Gaza, 232 were killed between October 7, 2023 and March 26, 2025, an average of around 13 killed each month." - Brown University, citing Committee to Protect Journalists Database.
