Dr. Leila Nicolas writes on X:

Israel has launched unprecedented strikes against Iran.
Over time, and through several key junctures, Iran has gradually lost its deterrence posture. Two pivotal moments mark this decline:

1. When Ismail Haniyeh was targeted on Iranian soil and Tehran chose to maintain "strategic restraint". At the time, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech stressing the necessity of a response, framing the matter as one tied to Iranian national dignity.

2. The second, and most decisive moment, came with the assassination of Sayyed Nasrallah himself, an event that went unanswered with a crushing retaliation, neither against Israel nor within the region.

In the aftermath, deterrence collapsed completely, and Netanyahu emerged emboldened, going so far as to publicly threaten the Supreme Leader of Iran.

To restore deterrence and protect itself, Iran now faces two options:

1. Launch a conventional military response that matches the scale and impact of Israel’s aggression, reasserting strength through force.

2. Develop a nuclear weapon, establishing an alternative form of deterrence to compensate for the collapse of its long-invested "forward defense" doctrine.

Without either path, the next objective on the table will be nothing short of regime change [in Iran].
The Mossad spy agency built a secrete explosive drone base in Iran for this morning's operation, an Israeli security source reveals.

The drones were used to strike ballistic missile launchers at a base near Tehran, preventing Iran from firing projectiles at Israel as this morning's strikes began.

Additionally, a Mossad commando team deployed guided weapons systems to central Iran, close to Iranian air defense sites. The weapons struck the air defense sites, preventing them from targeting Israeli fighter jets.

The mossad assets are Iranian spies. And to add, Azerbaijan had a major role in this FYI

People are delusional if they think the US and Israel are not a tag team in genocide. There will be no "rift". US participated in the attack on Iran in a multitude of ways and is entirely complicit. The only reason it wanted to keep its name out of the mud is to protect its assets in the region, including the Arab Gulf States who are now in a state of turmoil, wondering if the oil sectors will be targeted by Iranian strikes in the coming hours/days. The US narratives played out as a distraction and a false reassurance for Iran and the region. People fell for it. When will we start really following the direction of travel and stop being diverted by the bylines? Manufacturing false expectations is a MI6/CIA speciality.

I was told, by sources in Syria, that Iranian Air Defences were not working or not activated in the first minutes of the first wave of attacks. Zionist media is saying that 'vehicles carrying weapons systems were smuggled into Iran. These systems took out Iran’s air defences and gave Israeli planes air supremacy and freedom of action over Iran.' This cannot be verified and there are no official statements yet, from Iran. The Zionists also claim that Mossad was operating deep inside Iranian territory - deploying precision missiles near anti-aircraft sites in central Iran and setting up drone launchers to intercept missiles heading to Israel. This could be fabrication but the apparent failure of Air Defence in those first crucial moments is something that has not yet been explained. We must keep an open mind to all possibilities and wait for the Iranian statements.

Iran 'nuclear weapons' is the longest running regional gag, spanning 30 years. While the Zionists have not only been developing nuclear capability but also have the 'Samson Doctrine' which dictates that these nuclear weapons can be deployed, even against allied nation states, should Israel experience an 'existential threat'.

🏴‍☠️ | Mossad operated covertly inside an Iranian drone after eight months of preparation. They tracked the commander’s location using the drone itself and coordinated a precise projectile strike to assassinate him. This is how the operation was carried out with surgical precision.

🏴‍☠️ | Mossad executed three different operations in Iran:

In central Iran, Mossad commando units deployed precision-guided weapons systems in open areas near Iranian surface-to-air missile systems. With the start of the Israeli attack, parallel to air force strikes throughout Iran, these systems were trained and activated, and precision missiles were launched directly at targets simultaneously with high accuracy.

In another operational campaign to disrupt Iranian air defense capabilities that threaten Israeli fighter aircraft, Mossad secretly deployed advanced offensive systems and technologies on vehicles. With the start of the surprise attack, weapons were launched and completely destroyed the attack targets - Iranian defense systems.

In the third campaign, Mossad established an explosive drone base that had infiltrated deep into Iran long before the Mossad agents' attack. During the Israeli attack, explosive drones were activated and launched at surface-to-ground missile (SGM) launch platforms located at Ashfaq Abad base near Tehran, which posed a threat to strategic targets and Israeli citizens.

IGOR STRELKOV ON ISRAEL'S ATTACK ON IRAN

An attack on Iran has long been expected: I believe that without permission, coordination and direct support from the United States, Israel would not have done anything like this, especially on such a large scale. This is, of course, not a limited action, given the number of casualties among Iran's top military and political leadership. Iran will, of course, respond, and, in my opinion, is already responding.

In general, we have the beginning of a major Middle East war, in which Iran's position is very weak. Why weak? Because Israel has superbly prepared the field for its attack by taking a series of consistent actions. First, they "removed" the Iranian president, who supported #Syria and #Assad. The next Iranian president withdrew troops from Syria, which greatly weakened the position of the Syrian government.

Accordingly, within two weeks Syria was defeated and destroyed: most of it came under Turkish control, and a significant part under Israeli control (the strategically important Dutch Heights). Now Iran has virtually no way to reach Israel by land without entering into direct confrontation with #Turkey. And Turkey has a very strong army, and it will be very difficult for Iran to fight it.

Now Israel, naturally, using its significant superiority in missile and aircraft weapons, is striking Iran, without counting on a serious and truly painful response.

Well, if Iran takes any action, perhaps the US, which stands behind Israel, will get involved and will take advantage of the opportunity to defeat Iran.

What does this threaten us with? For us, this threatens two things. The first and most important thing is the termination of our "southern corridor", since we actively supplied oil and other raw materials to India and other countries through Iran. This was a fairly important route for us. Now we have only China left in the east as a transit route for our products.

Secondly, of course, Iran is now being attacked and, losing more and more industrial facilities, will not be able to supply us with the weapons and ammunition that it supplied before, which will also have an impact on the course of military operations in #Ukraine.
