▪️The plan is for eventual, open US strikes on Iran, with the US already having been involved in ongoing Israeli strikes (ISR, refueling, AD, munitions);

▪️Israel was designated to provoke the war, take responsibility, absorb the brunt of Iran's retaliation, and now is attempting to sufficiently shape the battlefield;

▪️When (if?) this process is complete and conditions optimal, the US will almost certainly launch strikes unless Iran is stronger than expected and confounds ongoing shaping operations;

▪️The US isn't trying to disarm Iran or arrive at some accommodation, it has always sought to dismember it as a nation-state - as it invaded Iraq and collapsed Syria to prepare the battlefield for war on Iran, toppling Iran is required for further isolating/confronting Russia and China;

▪️Delay by the US is almost certainly dependent on waiting for the right conditions - the decision to go to war with Iran was always pre-determined;
