The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (#DFLP) was founded in February 1969 when members within the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (#PFLP) decided to secede from the organization and to form a separate group. Intellectual and political differences had begun to appear within the PFLP just a few weeks after its first general congress was held in August 1968.
Throughout the DFLP's history, its fighters have carried out high-level operations deep inside occupied Palestine launched from “anchor points” that were established in #Jordan, the #GolanHeights , and Southern #Lebanon . They also fought in battles to defend the Palestinian #resistance in #Jordan, during the Lebanese Civil War and the Israeli Invasion of Lebanon in 1982, and in the “War of the Camps ” in Lebanon and to repel the Israeli military attacks on the #Gaza Strip.

#US President Donald Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a meeting in Washington earlier in April that he could “as much Syrian territory as he wanted,” Syria In Transition reported in its 23rd issue, citing sources with knowledge on the matter.
The outlet, which is produced pro bono by the London-based Conflict Mediation Solutions consultancy, didn’t provide any further details on the discussion #Trump and #Netanyahu had on Syria.
The report is not surprising considering that Trump has shown nothing but support for Israel, and Netanyahu has been working to expand his country’s influence in Syria.
Following the fall of the #Assad regime last December, the Israeli military invaded the buffer zone adjacent to the #GolanHeights in southern #Syria and established nine posts there. The military also launched hundreds of strikes against the country, destroying much of its combat capabilities.

The reports coming out from Israel, which claim that there are currently two proposals on the table, say that Syria is eyeing city of #Tripoli, along with other areas in northern Lebanon and the #BekaaValley the east of the country.
