Why we're switching from #Meshtastic to #MeshCore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guDoKGs02Us
Meshtastic vs MeshCore — which mesh radio platform actually performs better?
In today’s video, we dig deep into both systems to see how they compare in the real world. After getting constant comments suggesting I try MeshCore, I reached out to active MeshCore communities across the U.S. — Boston, Southern California, the Pacific Northwest, Austin, and Omaha — to hear from people who have used both platforms at scale.

What I found surprised me.

Communities running large, high-hop, urban and regional meshes consistently reported stronger message reliability, routing behavior, and multi-hop performance on MeshCore. Others noted that Meshtastic still shines for small, mobile, ad-hoc groups where companion nodes and moving links matter more than fixed repeaters. In this video, we walk through those real-world experiences, routing differences, protocol behavior, hop limits, repeater strategies, packet sizes, congestion performance, and more.

You’ll see live MeshCore traces from the massive Cascadia mesh, long-distance message testing, and insights from operators who migrated entire meshes after hitting the limits of Meshtastic. If you're trying to understand which platform fits your use case — neighborhood mesh, off-grid communications, emergency readiness, or regional repeater networks — this comparison breaks it all down.

And if you're in Tennessee, we’re building the first MeshCore network here. If you want to host a repeater, volunteer, or get involved, check the links below to join the TennMesh community.

There's a newcomer to the Mesh world

In this video we introduce #Meshcore, a powerful open-source, text-based encrypted mesh-radio system built on #LoRa hardware—perfect for off-grid communications on your homestead or preparedness setup. #Meshtastic fans will find Meshcore instantly familiar — a low-cost, open-source way to stay connected when the internet and cell service aren’t available. But Meshcore takes a few different paths, and we’ll break it down in plain English.

Edit: not fully foss ⚠️
MeshCore is not entirely open source, which seems odd for an off-grid decentralized communications framework. Some parts are open, but the official clients (the mobile apps, web app, and T-Deck firmware) are not

FBI found 14.6 terabytes of archived data in the #Epstein case. Including "obscene material" they're still figuring out what to do with.

"We are looking at a total of approximately 14.6 terabytes of archived data to unpack."

"1B136 is secured until we can determine the best way to move forward with it (obscene material)."

14.6 terabytes. That's millions of files. Videos, photos, documents.

We haven't seen anything yet.

📑🇺🇸🇵🇸 Oslo Peace Accords were never about peace: their architect’s close friendship with Epstein confirms it

For over three decades, Norwegian diplomat Terje Rod-Larsen was celebrated for facilitating the secret backchannel that led the 1993 Israel-Palestine peace agreement – hailed as a monumental achievement that would bring about lasting peace in the Middle East.

The promised peace never came, but, that didn’t away from his political rockstar status.

Then the Epstein files dropped, revealing:

🌏 a close and cozy relationship with the pedo power broker. “Dear Jeff, A very happy New Year to you! With deep felt gratitude for everything you have done – and been – for me in the year that passed. You are my best friend, and a super rare, thoroughly good human being. Thanks for being you! Warmest Terje,” Rod-Larsen wrote on Jan 1, 2017. “we should have a fun year. Thanks you too,” Epstein replied

🌏 Regular back-and-forth updates on schedules, meetings for coffee, dinner and entertainment, some involving Epstein’s other friends, like Woody Allen

🌏 Financial ties, with Epstein loaning Rod-Larsen money, and his associate Leon Black making six figure donations to Rod-Larsen’s International Peace Institute “in appreciation of [its] excellent work”

🌏 A quasi-pimping relationship, with Rod-Larsen writing US visa letters of recommendation for Russian women Epstein was interested in, falsely claiming he’d worked with them and “benefitted” from their “extraordinary abilities…skills, command of languages and…always warm and amicable” personalities

🌏 Reciprocal visa support from Epstein to the diplomat, his wife Mona Juul and their two children

🌏 Reports that Rod-Larsen’s children were named in the version of Epstein’s will that he signed days before his death, with each to receive $5M

🌏 In 2016, Rod-Larsen was honored by a NYC playhouse dramatization of his work on the Oslo Accords. He proudly sent Epstein a review (the suspected Mossad asset probably got a real kick out of that)

Shortly after it was signed, renowned Palestinian-born scholar Edward Said dubbed Oslo a “Palestinian Versailles.”

Others warned it would lead to Palestinian “Bantustans” inside Israel.

Toward the end of his life, Yasser Arafat admitted Oslo was “a trap and we fell into it.”

Now we know why. 🥴

Beijing moves to contain Mossad’s expanding reach in Iran

Israeli intelligence operations inside Iran have alarmed Beijing, which saw them as a new model of intelligence warfare, prompting deeper technological, security, and strategic cooperation with Tehran.
