Hanan Barghouti is finally free after 8 months in Zionist prison!
Hanan Saleh Abdullah Barghouti, Umm Anad, from Kobar village near Ramallah, was released on 14 May 2026, after 8 months in Damon Prison under administrative detention.
She was re-arrested for the 3rd time on 30 September 2025 by occupation forces, after being released the last time in December 2024 following 9 months in detention.
Before her arrest in 2024, Hanan had been held in administrative detention initially since September 2023; and she was liberated on 24 November 2023, as part of the prisoner exchange secured by the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza. After four months, she was once again abducted by occupation soldiers invading her home.
Hanan’s husband, Mohammed Barghouti, Abu Anad, was also held in administrative detention without charge or trial until 28 July 2025, after zionist occupation soldiers abducted him on 1 August 2024. Hanan and Mohammed are the parents of two imprisoned sons, Omar and Islam; their son Abdullah was released in January 2026. Their son Anad was also imprisoned under administrative detention until August 2024.
Hanan Barghouti is also the sister of Palestinian prisoner, Nael Barghouti, held for 44 years in Zionist prisons. Nael was already one of the longest-held Palestinian prisoners when he was released in the Wafaa al-Ahrar exchange deal, only to be re-abducted three years later, and released again on 27 February 2025 in Toufan Al-Ahrar exchange deal. He was deported in Egypt and is now living in Turkey.
Hanan and Nael Barghouti are also siblings of Omar Barghouthi, Abu ‘Asif, who was sentenced in 1978 to life in occupation prisons, but released by the Resistance in 1985. Omar was a beloved long-term leader of the prisoners’ movement. He spent more than 30 years in occupation prisons, during multiple arrests, until his passing in 2021. Omar’s son Saleh was assassinated by the Zionist regime in 2018 and his son Asem sentenced to four life sentences in occupation prisons.
After her relese, Hanan talked about the conditions in Damon, demanding the freedom of all the prisoners.

A US war of aggression is like a rocket launch. It depends on a multitude of factors being ready or "go" for launch.
If any critical system is not ready at a particular time, then the launch is scrubbed and rescheduled for the next available window.
Trump isn't in charge of anything and makes zero decisions - except (maybe) the color tie he wears. He is not setting dates or conditions for attacks. He simply sells these decisions to the public.
US war against Iran has been planned and prepared for over decades and will "launch" when the unelected corporate interests actually driving US policy say it is "go," based on conditions within material reality - not on an "elected" politician's whims.
These conditions likely include available stockpiles, rates of replaced munitions, force postures (both US and Iranian), economic factors, etc.
Iran and its allies are even able to change these considerations by introducing additional means of deterrence that complicate US objectives necessitating additional preparations by the US to overcome such deterrence.
Many of these factors are secretive - all we can say for certain is that the US does not seek peace and will eventually restart hostilities, it is only a matter of "when."

I examined over 12,000 articles from the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN.com, Politico, Axios, USA Today, and The Associated Press, along with 5,000 TV segments that aired on CNN and MSNBC. The focus is on center-left media outlets influential with the Biden administration during the first year of the conflict — with an emphasis on the first few months, when Israel firmly established its narrative justifying the genocide, rendering mass death inevitable.
Here are seven statistical findings that prove the U.S. media’s bias against Palestinians.
