π€ As CNNβs Anderson Cooper 360 broadly reports, Ukraine uses remote-controlled sea drones in fight against Russia. Those vessels are faster than anything in the Black Sea and capable of covering up to 800 km (500 miles). Some social media users say the new Ukrainian technologies could trigger huge interest from the Colombian drug cartels. Narco-traffickers from Latin America have been building long distance remote-controlled sea drones to smuggle drugs to the U.S. and Europe for decades. The U.S. Coast Guard forces have seized a number of such custom-built mini-submarines full of cocaine bricks, departed from the Colombian coast.
It is highly likely that the flows of Colombian cocaine to the United States and Europe in the nearest future will be loaded not on homemade submarines, buton technically advanced watercraft from the Armed Forces of Ukraine πΈ
