Ecstasy
Shooting it straight up her clampy skin,
A façade awning her face,
She can’t remember her lost innocence.
She knew no one could hurt her, but her,
And she tears up, not from agony,
but her longing, and ache for more.
Cackling inside her, the fire
Mocks her thirst, her desire.
She gurgles, embracing every inch of her black tar soul,
With fainting beats of her cocaine heart.
She slips, turns blue,
And then,
Out of the blue, into the black.

Haven
Vague scars,
Broken hearts,
Finding their haven,
To soak in their reveries,
Full of broken memories.

Yours Sincerely
Many don’t have a guiding soul,
Who become our shadows,
A part of our own conscience,
A part of our own goals,
And those who do,
Don’t compare to you.
Your wit, your exuberance, lightens up a room in an instant,
And your jokes, though corny,
Don’t make you any less puissant.
No one sees you for who you are, taking your for granted,
But you still put our needs, our desires above yours,
And they’re too blind to see the trees you have planted.
How you manage to stay so calm and patient, amazes me,
Inspires me to see,
How an erudite like you,
Stays so grounded, so different from all the wannabes.
And even though our relationship is on the rocky road,
You mean so much to me Papa,
And there is so much to soak in the thoughts,
That never overflowed.

Vignette
It’s half past midnight
Blinds shut, crickets chirp, no ray of any light
Darkness is imprisoning me,
Cool breeze caressing my face,
Although a little too cold and a little too biting for my taste
And I realize as I start slipping into the oblivion
The darkness is absorbing me,
I have become subliminal
I am not alone in this hell-hole of a place,
My mind is getting the hold of me
And I’m tied tight like a shoelace
I scream, but I stop dead
Oh dear, don’t you remember what the doctor said?
It’s all in my head,
That’s what he said
But then why does this feel so real
This mind and soul consumption?
I can’t remember what it read on my prescription
My brain is scattered,
I feel as lost Alice,
And as crazy as the Mad Hatter.

the illusion of bias
as i look out of the window
a dreary night
i see the moon shining
but there is no radiance
only a faint dim light
and as i look at the moon
i realise
the way you stir
you would resemble her
because you’re blurred
with the ecsatsy of distortion
how you conceal those tears
behind the assumption so utopian
i look at the moon
and i wonder
if it lost the innocence it had
just like i did
did it lose its innocence
when it realised that
hell and heaven were the same
when the only place
they both belonged to
bled of pain
or it lost its innocence
when it realised the ugly truth
behind this facade of magnificence
i wonder if it feels the way i do
shining on someone else's light
and taking the pride in the
debt of dependence
that is long overdue
and as i shut the blinds
and stop pondering
i realise that moon is just like me
lost and wandering.

Melancholic Suppression
Everything was perfect,
Or so I perceived
Here comes the mourning of a bereaved.
I told myself,
Let the sleeping dogs lie
But never did I realize,
If you lie down with dogs ,
Then you’ll get fleas
And a dark cave of memories.
Now the worst enemies are the ones,
That used to be cronies
Their cognizance? Mere cacophonies.
It is like what they say,
You never lose a friend
You realize you never had one in the end.
Now I sit amidst the ruins of considerations,
Contemplating the contortion
Why did I fall for this illusion?
Everything was perfect,
Or so I perceived
This was the mourning of a bereaved.

Moonlit Reflection
The only thought that crosses my mind,
When this distance has us confined
That maybe it is for us to discern,
How far our love travels, how much we yearn
To taste the elixir of each other’s soul
And to cherish the depthless portrayal made of charcoal,
For we live under the same stars,
United by the constellations of different avatars.
Never trust the moon, they say
She always keeps changing, always has her way,
But her beauty has us all dazed
Isn’t she the epitome of love and grace?
Oh! How many times you declared
You would bring the moon unimpaired,
Now we look at the same moon and reminisce the dedication,
All the times our souls melted to the warmth of passion.
All I want is for you to remember what they say,
Absence is to love, what wind is to fire,
It extinguishes the small,
But inflames the great
And I know deep within my brain,
That these borders are mere fritters going vain
They might separate lands for all we know,
But they will never separate our souls.

Distress of Surrender
She has fought several wars before this,
But this is a fight everyone will reminisce
Her wings replace the ammunition in this fight,
But she still soars above the populace with all her might
For this fight may take away her bag of bones,
But her ardor is more ferocious than the worst of cyclones
For this fight may take away the affirmation,
It cannot crumble her affection
For this fight may damage her control,
It will never cripple her soul
For this fight may leave her incapable,
It cannot leave her in shambles,
This courage, she has, it’s not meant to holler,
It keeps quiet and grows silently in her heart’s corner
For this fight might try its best to pull her down,
To the deep dark dungeons underground
To cuff her hands with strongest of chains,
And gag her with the clothes as rusty as a crane
But she will still fight to survive,
And she will rise beyond the archetype
Because she is an angel with wings so high and sleek,
This cancer will be the one to face defeat.

Distortion of Repose
A beautiful doomsday
Makes its way
To the glimmer and happiness
Of two families’ consciousness.
One’s wife cried till all hell broke loose,
When she saw him after so long, her delight was profuse,
For he was there to wipe her tears away,
He was there for her, there to make a headway.
Another’s wife cried, but this time, for truce,
When she saw him after so long, her sorrow was profuse,
For he was there but could not wipe her tears as big as pebbles,
He was lying in a coffin, bejeweled with ribbons and medals.

A great and skilled attempt at portraying the dichotomy, in life and death, in a war, painting a picture of the mirror opposite outcomes that result from it.
I absolutely loved the rhyming. I felt it was very beautiful and natural.
The Title was very elegant, but I think it didn't fit perfectly, tell me what were your thoughts, what did you mean to convey with the title?
The line "To glimmer and happiness" in the first stanza needs to be changed a bit because you used both positive words, one needs to be negative for the dichotomy to work out, as well as to aptly describe the next stanzas. And "bejeweled" in the last line needs to be changed, because it is used to go with jewels, precious gems and precious stones.
Here are the improvements and additions I suggest to the poem (I am copying your whole poem and editing it to save time)
Here goes:
Title: FATE OF WAR
A beautiful doomsday
Makes its way
To the glimmer and happiness
Of two families’ consciousness
DELIVERING AND SUNDERING HAPPINESS, TO AND FROM, TWO FAMILIES, DIVIDED BY A WAR THAT SEEMED ENDLESS
One’s wife cried till all hell broke loose,
When she saw him after so long, her delight was profuse,
For he was there to wipe her tears away,
He was there for her, there to make a headway,
THEIR ROMANCE, RENDERED QUIESCENT/FORCED INTO AN INTERMISSION, BY THE WAR ACROSS THE BAY
Another’s wife cried, but this time, for truce,
When she saw him after so long, her sorrow was profuse,
For he was there but could not wipe her tears as big as pebbles,
He was lying in a coffin,
BEDECKED IN MEDALS AND RIBBONS, FOR ALL OF HIS FATAL TROUBLES!

Teardrops from Heaven
The assemblage of mist laments,
The humans’ malice and torments,
The rains are their tears
Piercing the atmosphere,
And while humans are busy
Avoiding the rain effusively,
Peacocks dance in the jungle,
Making nature-dwellers’ thirst quenchable,
While rain falls, I ponder
How many of these would fall into dark holes yonder,
And how many of these would make it onto
A necklace laced with pearls of highest value.
