Title: A Martian Food Story
Part-1
I didn't sleep for the last few days, I couldn't even feel the climate change, If I look back the flavour of reality has always been bitter for me, as I woke up from bed I started to search for my voice transmitter fs11.o which I got it as part of my job, as I switched it on it said 'honouring Mark Debam for his exceptional contribution in the space food sector, he has almost put his life in establishing a new variety of food which was the key behind our survival and he is nominated for the most inspiring person of the year 2056, he is requested to be in the central station within few hours 'yep that's me, people call me Debam, a few months before, we lost connections over the earth the biggest issue that we encountered was related to the food sector. since we were on Mars and almost 70 per cent of food came through space ships from the earth and other 30 per cent from plants which were genetically modified and controlled by robots and we were trying to configure a new ecosystem which mainly constitutes extremophiles.
This year 2056 has been a difficult task for me and our 10-year-old civilization on Mars, the astonishing thing associated with this is now 35 per cent of the population of earth is situated in Mars. The problem came into existence when the food cargo spaceship arrived Mars after 3 months from the initial date of the schedule and we had started the food rationing process, the humourous thing associated with it was not even one person knew about rationing and how it was done. We used AI robots for reducing contents in a ratio and it resulted in the loss of half of the products which were reserved and there was no choice of experimenting so livelihood on mars became a dream, this was the condition on mars and in this phase, my role came into existence as I was a food engineer and I was the only person who knew the solution for this problem even though there were dozens of food engineers on mars as I made food which was nutritive and comparatively tasty from others which were rationed, everyone thought it was new, but it wasn't, I stole the recipes from an old woman and I used to call her white,
I wish if she was alive or if there was some way to tell the purpose of her life, she would be happier than anyone in this world, she left me before I could do something for her, her entrance in my life was through a mistake that I did. All those things had a great impact on me. Let's see.…..where do I begin?
