Hope
#review #Abhijit
Hope was the past
Hope is the present
Hope will be the future
Hope is what ties us together
It is strange how we believe in such a phenomenon
Its existence is not proven but we still act on
Its strange how we bury the days that are gone
But still look for its future in forlorn
The dilemma that is hope, a surprising one
It makes us walk towards the horizon
But leaves us at the sandy shores
For the sunset or dawn
Through hope one can achieve the heights of the sky
Also, through hope one can measure the depths of the future lies
Its hope that carries us forward or backward
But never leaves our side.
Hope is like truth in disguise
Hope is like a wall
If you climb well you will rise
If you stumble you will fall
Hope wisely

To our best friends
To our worst foes
The conjunction of contrasts
Always impedes on
To our broken vows
To our disciplined bows
The nature of traitors
Always concedes on
To the love of yours
To your bodily flaws
The features of your temptation
Always turns me on
To the wrinkles of frowns and smiles
To the hidden face behind
The countless structures of a face
Always intercedes life and soul
At last the life recedes
Only the moments live along.

I want to see the world burn
To its last ashes
I want to see the worst in human ignite
Ignite to burn mankind
You know the permanent smile in my face
Want to know who gave it to me?
It was my father or my brother or my friend
I don’t really remember
But I do remember the sayings
Why soo.. Serioussss… ?
Why sooo… Seriousssss…. ?
Why SO….. SERIOUSSSS……?
Then they carved the smile
As they did it I notice their eyes
I sensed the chaos within
I sensed the upcoming danger
They never killed me and
Something that doesn’t kill you only makes you stranger
Humans are creatures of madness
It is chaos they need not order
Humans are like apes in coats
Ready to kill and conquer
Now its time to bring that smile on your face

Love
#Abhijit #review
Love, a word used by many,
But described by none
For some the word itself is funny
For some the word is nothing more than a pun
The kindness and compassion in your heart
The passion in your work
The willingness in your mind
What are these if not love?
From the shining fireflies
Till the buried ants
From the painful scream of mother at birth
Till the sobbing infant
All this trouble in pursuit of love
The longing of being loved
The desperation of being welcomed and hugged
The hunger in someone’s belly
The loneliness in someone’s heart
All this can end if we share our endless treasure trove
The treasure trove of love
Happy new year to all
Share the love

Will you ever be mine?
#Abhijit #review
From the distance
In the dark
I see you in the very view
That I saw in my dreams
Thinking of your astounding beauty
Unable to distinguish what illusion and reality it seems
Then a thought passes through my mind
Will you ever be mine?
Its true that I may be poor by riches
Its true I may be poor by fame
But I have treasures of love
Hidden in the dungeons of my castle
Where I am the master of it
As well as I am the prisoner
Even the judge is me
And the executioner
That castle is my heart
Then my day dream ends
A thought passes through my mind
Will you ever be mine?
I shall never bring you the moon and stars
To you I may never show my concealed heart
Because of the fear of a broken love
Like petals from a broken flower
The thing which I feel for you ?
The emotions I ponder upon
Do you search for those in me
When this happen and you bestow a smile while watching me
Then a thought will pass by my mind
One day you will be mine

Midnight Sun
#Abhijit #review
Below on the earth a child sees the sky
For him it’s the eternal like stars as fireflies
Twinkling in the dark, dim and bright
From there he sees a faint white ray
It was the sun that came at midnight
Slowly the sun rose
Shining the whole city
Like a king claiming his lost kingdom
While looking at his subjects with loathe and pity
The sun was transforming in a mushroom cloud
It was dust and heat all around
While it made the sky enshroud
The child’s eyes dazzled, happy to see the sun
Making himself forget the world
It now shone so bright even gazing will make us blind
A sound passed through every ear
Bursting the ear drums and burning the skin
The child vanished it thin air
Never to be seen.

Before falling from the cliff
Before hanging your neck on the rope
Just think once of your family
And your friends with all the memories and hope
Ever imagined the consequences of your act on others
Imagine your crying mother
Your numb father
Taking your ash in a canister
You may have suffered a lot
For that you could cry
But no one ever gave you consent
Consent to die
It’s hard to fight the outside world
While the battle within is way more fierce
Only to end the suffering of yours
Don’t kill yourself, Oh Dear!
You are precious, don’t you see?
You don’t have to die, I plea!
Because you could become the reason of someone’s life
A reason of their happiness, a reason for their smile
At last its your life you shall decide
Die in the utter loneliness of your misery
Or like a brave accept the challenge
And thrive on to survive.

I only wished for peace
From this life
I only wished to be happy
In the world of despair, demise
The strength to endure the suffering
Are no more in me
It’s like broken umbrella at rain
That’s the irony
Even the devil gives a chance for penance
For the sin of one
On the contrary life takes back
Somethings you never wanted to return
Broken from the very mind
One thinks and hears
While it is a parody
It’s the mind I truly fear
Still deep inside me there is one soul
Kindling like a charcoal
Longing for the peace
In search of my ultimate goal

Tides

Standing at the beach
Tides come and go
While the sand below my feet
Tingles me as my feet burrow
Like the tides the memories occur
From past as the water of visuals
Dance in front of my eyes
Some sweet, some bitter
Till the tides rise
Lost are those thought of loneliness
When your thought comes by
Like a lantern it shines
As the darkness disappears in the shadows
And the world becomes like a meadow
As the water retrieves into the sea
The revelation of the loss comes to be
That you would never come back to me
That’s when I break from the trance of your dreams
I see the sunset before me

Sing me the song
#review #poetry #Abhijit
Sing me the song as you in past sang
Melodious it was with your unique slang
I want to hear it again from your curved lips
Voice of your sweet lies
Making me belief that dreams are always flowers and butterflies
Sing me the song of our endless nights
Where we both lie in each other arms
As time stopped then and there
Entangled in our kiss.
The memories like these I most miss
But I never knew that betrayal was in your blood
I never knew that you leaving me will cause an inside flood
Flood of despair, anger, loneliness and a total stranger.
Stranger to the hate that would follow
Stranger to insomnia, Stranger to tomorrow
I tried to move on
Started every day with a fake smile
But by the end of the day I was drunk
While I roam in nothingness.
I became weird and vile
Now I wonder what a fool I was
To make you my love,
Now I know that it was all false
You were just making a bluff
Sing me my last song
Before I descent to hell
Sing me my mistakes
Sing me your name
And if you ever want to save me
Come back at my grave, my lady,
Even from hell, I will love you madly

A Time Travelers’ memoir
#poetry #review #Abhijit
Transcending time and space,
I see past, present and the future.
I saw the evolution of humans,
And from humans to a social creature.
The past is rather an untold story.
From microorganism to man,
From man to his thirst of glory.
The story reveals the uncertainty,
Which eventually becomes a tragedy.
Tragedy has many faces to show
War, holocaust and much more
As the screams of the dying reach its crescendo
But truth is that the social creature never learns
It becomes death itself and its own destruction
Even screams cannot make it slightly discern
Future is what I most fear,
It’s the future I never see clear.
It changes from time to time,
I see heaven and hell all in one,
Lost to the existence of its own paradigm.
Present is like a thread of strings,
With each second, changes make a swing,
Its like birds flying with torn wings.
Still present is what holds the future.
It still holds hope.
Its still gives Mankind its last chance,
Like a falling mountaineer grabbing its rope.

A Dried leaf
#poetry #review #Abhijit
Once I was a tiny leaf,
Under my parent’s arms.
I was lucky to have a family.
They guided me in journey of life I was about to embark.
I saw my father work every day on the hot sun,
My mother nurtured me dearly.
As I grew, I made friends.
That was the time when for me life made sense.
One of my friends was a flower,
Then she became a fruit.
I watch in wonder the ripening of her,
But then she was taken from me as a loot.
A part of me disappeared that day,
Into the abyss of sadness.
Now her smile woke me in my dreams,
And drove me to madness.
And then one day a person came,
With scissor in his hand.
He cut my parents into half.
That day I cried, until dew drops over me dried.
As the humans smiled and laughed,
While my soul died.
Slowly and steadily I turned yellow,
Withered and crumbled I was,
But then I was happy for myself.
Happy because I will find peace,
Peace of death after all.

A Village Girl

At the first glimpse of her,
My heart melted.
I was in awe of her beauty,
Never did I saw someone so splendid.
How can I describe the innocence in her almond eyes?
The eyes in which my world resides.
As the winds dwindle with her,
The fragrance of her maidenhood spreads like wild fire,
The fragrance of which even the flowers themselves want to disguise,
While I long in its fire for her love, my only desire.
The braids of her hair loosely tied,
Reminds me of a riverine,
Where the Gods came to bath and dine.
Mortals like us can only dream,
But her hair locked the very essence of the divine.
Then a miracle happened and I was inside her mind ....
Oblivious to the worries of the world,
She stays in the realms of her imagination,
Her bubble of life is that no one is cruel,
Diving into her feelings gives me a soothing sensation.
I explore the deepest depths of her heart but find no condemnation,
Instead I find in her heart Kindness, the precious of all jewel.

Spare me a kiss
#review #Abhijit #poetry
You know, it still feels as if the first time we met was nature’s ploy.
The looks of yours were nothing less from the ‘Helen of Troy’.
I experienced that day Einstein’s General theory of relativity,
The moment my gaze was upon you, everything stopped for me.
Your words were some cadence,
A music so soothing that my ears dies to hear.
Your elegance so pristine and pure.
Many times, I thought someday I would lose you, oh dear!
That cursed day came when she was about to leave me.
I wish we could spend a little more time together.
A little more laugh,
A bit more of joy,
If time will ever be sold, I would squander all to buy.
Ever wondered the despair I would have to go through,
So, give me something I remember my whole life.
Leave me something to hold on to,
Spare me a kiss, would you?
For the sake of love, we have between us, let me ask for something
Let me have the taste of your lips,
Let me drink the tears at your cheeks,
Let me have some final instances of my ecstasy.

Stay with the winds and you shall see the birds.
You shall see the innumerable flowers of different kinds,
Which blossoms as the aspirations of many fly high,
While some that cannot blossom wither as the winds sucks all of its fragrance.
Stay with the wind to witness the hardships of the mountains,
As the river tears through its crevices.
Stay with the winds to adore the tiny turtles at the beach,
Walking towards there sea.
Stay with the wind to watch the escape of the fish,
From the beak of a kingfisher.
Stay with the wind to gaze upon the mighty deserts,
To watch the unraveled power of the seasons.
But soon you shall notice the humans,
You shall see them fight.
You shall see the fire of the burned corpses,
Seeing that you shall fall from your flight.

What have I become?
A lonely creature,
Hanging by the wrist in chains,
To a peak of the topmost mountain.
I think even the mountain wants to let loose of me,
To set myself free or to free himself from mine,
I try to see down but to no avail I see even a glimpse,
Like a never-ending abyss,
To which I may fall till the end of eternity.
But a mystery sets me to intrigue,
That what is the purpose of mine if not to fall,
May that be my destiny.
But why so much of waiting,
Just let me loose and all is done.
As each day becomes the past,
My thoughts and memories fade,
Stripped of all emotions.
I have become the mountain itself,
Hard and ice and cold and sharp.
Now I see it hahahaha,
Last of my laugh but mere a smile,
This is the fall,
And I am abyss itself,
Only empty.

This is a poem of a soldier who has lost the war and is trying to escape from it. Now he is so tired of running that he stops and looks behind but to his surprise no one is following him. So he starts walking and reflecting his own actions and emotions.
I walk,
Staggering falling and then again.
I walk.
I walk,
To feel the unfathomable pain,
The spikes of my disdain,
That goes through my heart and sail,
In the sea of unbroken vows,
I walk.
I walk,
Remembering the string of my thoughts,
Of friends and foes alike.
To kill and get killed,
To be brave and to fear alike,
I walk.
I walk,
Laughing and crying at the same time,
Knowing the invincible, inevitable time.
That even my soul shall rest soon,
In the midst of the many that came and shall come too.
I walk.
I walk and keep walking
To what I not know

That was the time when for me life made sense.
One of my friends was a flower,
Then she became a fruit.
I watch in wonder the ripening of her,
But then she was taken from me as a loot.
A part of me disappeared that day,
Into the abyss of sadness.
Now her smile woke me in my dreams,
And drove me to madness.
And then one day a person came,
With scissor in his hand.
He cut my parents into half.
That day I cried, until dew drops over me dried.
As the humans smiled and laughed,
While my soul died.
Slowly and steadily I turned yellow,
Withered and crumbled I was,
But then I was happy for myself.
Happy because I will find peace,
Peace of death after all.

Will you ever be mine?

From the distance
In the dark
I see you in the very view
That I saw in my dreams
Thinking of your astounding beauty
Unable to distinguish what illusion and reality it seems
Then a thought passes through my mind
Will you ever be mine?
Its true that I may be poor by riches
Its true I may be poor by fame
But I have treasures of love
Hidden in the dungeons of my castle
Where I am the master of it
As well as I am the prisoner
Even the judge is me
And the executioner
That castle is my heart
Then my day dream ends
A thought passes through my mind
Will you ever be mine?
I shall never bring you the moon and stars
To you I may never show my concealed heart
Because of the fear of a broken love
Like petals from a broken flower
The thing which I feel for you ?
The emotions I ponder upon
Do you search for those in me
When this happen and you bestow a smile while watching me
Then a thought will pass by my mind
One day you will be mine
