Walking down the hallway
at my School,
I see a door.
"NO ENTRY", it reads.
I hear some voices
from the inside.
It's two people talking,
ignoring, I continue walking.
"Listen", came a loud yell.
I look behind,
"This stays between us",
I hear her tell.
They're diagonally opposite,
fast, I move,
out of their sight.
I start walking,
towards my class.
Toilet breaks,
never longlast.
As I sit down,
quietly on my bench,
a peon comes in,
asking for my bag.
I've done nothing wrong,
crying, I run down along.
The peon enters
into the principal's cabin.
I see my parents there,
very worried, they seem.
I stand and stare at them.
The Principal takes her mic,
"Miss Vyna has to leave
with her parents, tonight".
The announcement was made,
my feelings, nobody cared.
We all go outside,
I stand there, while,
my dad gets the car.
Mom puts my bag in,
dad gets out,
the peon gives him
a big pack, I see from the far.
Dad, what's that? I give a shout.
I push myself,
between all people,
to see what's the fuss about.
I see myself,
wrapped in that big pack.
My parents start crying,
as I hear someone say,
"She slipped in the toilet
and passed away".

Discrimination is trending these days.
People are abusing and threatening each other on basis of caste, creed, status and race.
There is so much hatred amongst people towards each other.
When we all know, we are from the same mother.
I wonder, where did we all go wrong?
Few say that we learn from the surroundings .
Others say that we learn from our family.
What is the source of this brutality?
Let us rewind our lives
and go back to the times,
when we started observing, reacting and imitating
all that happened around us.
School was the place,
where we spent most hours of our day.
It was the place where we learnt most things.
A place where we saw the world, with our little wings.
It was there, we saw,
teachers being partial,
favouring certain set of kids.
It was there, we saw,
the strong ones being uplifted
and weak being eliminated.
It was there, we were taught,
religions, castes, status and race.
While some always remained,
a hopeless case.
It was there, we started
to observe, create and think.
Behaviour of teachers,
we now started to link.
It was a trend then,
bullying and insulting
the weakers ones.
Remembering into those days,
my heart still burns.
Where, our wings were chopped
and dreams were cropped.
Few were culprits,
many were victims.
Twelve years of school life,
we found no change in the system.
In present, I see the real world,
I find no change.
The strong are still strong,
the weaker ones still being eliminated.
The source of this brutality,
lies in the roots.
For, bitter roots will give you
bitter fruits.
Cause bias will always lead to inequality and injustice.

It is so hard to accept,
accept things around us.
We all know
that not everyone who comes in our lives, stay.
But it becomes so tough to accept someone's absence.
Upset, we start revisiting our memories;
photographs, videos, chats, deleting some of them.
We stalk them, to keep a track on their lives,
which only makes us more miserable.
Why does it become so hard to look back at those memories which once gave you joy?
Why do we have to expect everyone to be there forever?
The answer is simple, because we fear, fear to accept the fact that someone has left us and moved on in life and left us miserable.
Life would become so easy if we start accepting things,
looking back at those memories and cherishing them,
all the fun that you had.
Those little moments of happiness, which are freezed in photographs.
Deleting those will only create agony, for in the future, you'd have nothing to remember those moments except the little hazy memories.
We need to decide, what to choose,
sadness or joy.
We need to accept things the way they are, or at least learn to.
For things won't change but only add to your pain.
Never fail to look back at those memories, which once gave you joy and while looking at them, just notice your smile.
