Day 440 of the Apocalypse [June 15, 2021]
Ready to say goodbye to my life, goodbye to all whom I loved, I sat on the rock that broke my leg. A roaring engine sound echoed through the mountains, I closed my eyes as I heard the car come closer, and I started to embrace my death.
"Hey, get in!"
The car stopped right besides me, I looked up and I saw a familiar face, it was Tom.
"Hey cunt get in, except if you are one of those Hunters as well?"
I tried to get up and 'walk' towards the car while dragging my broken leg behind me. Tom immediately took of, and told me what happened to him.
To keep a long story short he was just gaming, minding his own business, while suddenly he heard everyone outside going crazy and hunting others, it was truly some crazy sh*t.
We drove until we met the others and let them in the car so we could continue North, I still don't know how Tom knew where I was, or why he was going the same wat, well I have nothing to worry, I trust him.
We drove for a couple of days until we came across a gas station, because of course a car needs fuel. We parked a few meters further so if there were Scavenger or as Tom calls them 'Hunters' , they couldn't hear them and we could surprise them.
First things first tho, let's find some sticks to make a splint for my leg.
A few minutes passed and we got my leg in a splint and made a cane so I could walk, or more stumble forward.
Tom handed me a sniper rifle and said that I should go find a rooftop where I have a visuel on the gas station.
"Tom, why do I have to do the sniping?"
"Well, you can't really fight can you?"
I nodded and entered a building that had a visuel on the station. Tom went closer the gas station, he stopped so he could hide for the Scavengers. We both saw no-one nearby, and so Tom grabbed his Jerry cans and started filling them up.
And suddenly a group of scavengers came around the corner, all of them jumped Tom at once. I completely froze as I saw Tom killing the Scavengers from a distance. Tom grabbed his pocket knife and slashed the first one through the stomach making all of his intestines falling out, turning around stabbing someone's thigh, and following with a stab in the throat. there were still 3 guys left, and I was still completely frozen, unable to do anything. Tom was able to beat the third one to the ground, making him completely knocked out, while one of the other 2 grabbing him from behind, making him unable to move. While one of the Scavengers holds him, the other one approaches him. I dont see Tom after that, as the last one stands right in front of Tom. This is my last chance, I have to do something now, or Tom might not survive.
Tying to take aim, finger on the trigger, and BANG.
