I saw the starry sparkling night.
Twinkling with a warm love
Wrapping me in his glow.
With his smile
He spoke a thousand words unsaid
His blond hair and blue eyes
Make me weaker in the knees
I want to be right beside him
Through everything, together
I can say I love him
I'll say it a million times
And it still won't capture
What my heart feels.

Slippery slope
Everywhere I go
My life feels like a joke.
A one minute glory
Fading to darkness
My voice echos
With no one at the other end.
Slamming down the telephone
My breath leaving my lungs
I feel like I'm going numb
Walking the same path
Walking down the same memory lane
Living and reliving that same
Throbbing, Agonizing pain.
No ink could flow through it
It's all blood red.
And I sleep again tonight.
Restlessly.
Hoping everything will subside.

On repeat, as if they are her favourite songs.
She knows all my secrets,
She knows all my regrets,
Everything I whelve.
She knows when I'm at peace and when I'm overwhelmed.
Each night that I stay awake
Wondering about something that doesn't make sense
I look up and I see her looking at me
Through her distant, pale, glowing eyes.
And I realise
The moon is an insomniac just like me.
She stays up with the late night sky.
