In Orwell's 1984 ... His main character Winston Smith ... Disfigured and disgusted by the food he would routinely consume had asked himself ... Why should one feel it to be intolerable unless one had some kind of ancestral memory that things had once been different? .... Well ... this got me thinking, Is human life unbearable for the individual because of a distant ancestral memory of a far greater truth of what we had once been? Instead of such a disgraceful and deceptive existence, had we truly been in the Garden of Eden? Did pleasure reign at its highest in the time of Adam and Eve? Did an apple cost us such greatness? From consumer trends to so-called relationship goals of today we can agree that our happiness had surely transcended all trade and ideologies of life and relationships. From the present ministries and politics we can also agree that true justice ruled ... For in fact a justice so true, that the single crime committed was all redeemabily forgiven after both the ruler and the ruled as one, conferred to the penalty that was then and always is death.
