Islamic Republic Regime Escalates Persecution of Religious Minorities
The Islamic Republic regime has intensified its crackdown on religious minorities, with widespread arrests of Baha’i and Zoroastrian citizens. In Shiraz, Mahsa and Mandana Sotoudeh, Behzad Basiri, Pejman Zare, Sara Sepehri, Behzad Yazdani, and Romina Khazali are being held incommunicado. In Kerman, Shakila Ghasemi, Peyvand & Borna Naeimi face detention under torture, while Zoroastrian leader Hooman Forouhari and his wife Minou Mehrabani were seized. Meanwhile, Mashhad reports the arrests of Ghazaleh Rayat and six others. These systematic detentions reflect the regime's escalating pressure on freedom of belief. These cases represent only a fraction of the ongoing rights violations against religious minorities under the current regime’s systematic suppression.
