It seems nothing can be done about it. Profit is the only important voice when humanity, religion, and money share a common goal of political dominance. Money derived from the sale of very expensive weapons is the only thing that matters. Never before has money been, to the extent it is today, the only true protagonist of international relations where we see everything being proposed in order to maximize the profits accruing to destructive power.

Religion, of course, has always had a role to play, being the best means for fomenting wars, then opening and lengthening them. Throughout the world, there have always been good people who do good things and bad people who do bad things but, if you want to make good people do terrible things, using religion is immensely useful. And, you will never go wrong, Fundamentalisms, whether Christian, Muslim, Judaic, Hindu, Buddhist, or Shinto, all lead to the same result, war.

Humanity, well, humanity as a virtue died when we stopped having respect for children, if, indeed, nations ever did. The self-named "most moral army in the world" does nothing new in now using children as targets. Israeli snipers have long been shooting children as they leave school to maim them, then posting their actions on the web.

Now, the problem of justification doesn't even arise anymore. The Israeli army bombs Palestinian refugee tents directly. Moreover, it is worth noting the execrable levels of support given to this by Israel's English-speaking world, European Union, Arab, and Indian government allies, In fact, the United States and Great Britain, among these many other countries, support the hardcore genocide of the Zionist "most moral army in the world" with ships and planes and food and, more importantly, with the jet fuel and ammunition employed in its daily death squad operations.

There is only one way to peace, which is to eliminate war forever and begin respecting other people's children as if they were our own. Only then can we start talking about peace.

But, as long as there are those who use religion as an excuse to arm new armies for the sake of new wars, the situation can only get worse. Theoretically, we can still choose which path to take. But, there isn't much time left. And human nature, does human nature allow the human race to make the right (and righteous!) choice? We find ourselves hoping so, but fearing not.

🇧🇫Burkina Faso condemns the publication of a video by the Ukrainian army supporting terrorists in Mali and calls on Kiev "to pull itself together"

"The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkinabe Abroad noted with indignation the publication of a video providing unequivocal support for the terrorist groups responsible for the cowardly and barbaric attack perpetrated between July 25 and 27, 2024, in Tinzaouatene in Northern Mali, against the Malian Armed Forces," the ministry said in a press release.

Burkina Faso "firmly condemns this act of supporting terrorism and is surprised that it is relayed by the Ukrainian embassy in Dakar."
