Farah For my final Art exam piece, I chose to explore the themes of culture and family to reflect my identity on a deeper level. I incorporated real childhood photos of my family members, blending personal history with cultural roots. To strengthen this connection, I did a photoshoot with my younger sister, capturing us in a traditional Arabic setting sharing tea (shai) to symbolize belonging and heritage. We wore traditional Yemeni clothing to proudly showcase the richness and beauty of our culture. I enhanced the patterns and colors by stitching directly onto the garments, adding texture and vibrancy. For the background, I used gold leaf to make the figures the focal point of the piece while keeping the backdrop visually interesting and elegant without overpowering the subjects.I am so proud of it however there is always room for improvement.This exam was 10 hours long and it was done over 2 days.Its actually shorter than you think as art takes along time. ✨🇾🇪
في عملي النهائي لامتحان الفن، قررت أركز على مواضيع الثقافة والعائلة، علشان أعبّر عن هويتي بشكل أعمق. استخدمت صور حقيقية من طفولة أفراد عائلتي، ودمجت بين التاريخ الشخصي والجذور الثقافية. وسويت جلسة تصوير لي أنا وأختي الصغيرة، صورنا فيها لحظات وإحنا نشرب شاي بجو عربي تقليدي، علشان نوصّل فكرة الانتماء والهوية. لبسنا ملابس يمنية تراثية نفتخر فيها، علشان نبرز جمال وغنى ثقافتنا. وزيّنت الملابس بتطريز بالخيوط علشان أطلع النقوش والألوان بشكل أوضح وتعطي القطعة إحساس بالحياة والحركة.
الخلفية كانت بورق ذهب، استخدمته علشان تكون الشخصيات هي مركز الانتباه، وفي نفس الوقت الخلفية تبقى جذابة وأنيقة بدون ما تسرق التركيز. أنا جدًا فخورة بهذا العمل، بس دايمًا في مجال للتطوير. الامتحان كان مدته ١٠ ساعات، واتوزع على يومين. يمكن تحسوه وقت طويل، بس في الحقيقة الفن ياخذ وقت طويل جدًا علشان يطلع بالشكل اللي في بالك.
