در حمایت از درخواست شورای مسلمانان انگستان، بیش از 350 مسجد و مرکز اسلامی درخواست تحقیق و تفحص از حزب محافظه‌کار انگلستان را به جهت فعالیت‌های اسلام‌هراسانه مطرح کردند. طی هفته‌های اخیر موارد متعددی از اسلام‌هراسی توسط نامزدها و نمایندگان حزب محافظه‌کار انگستان مشاهده شده است. در پی این درخواست، ساجد جاوید، وزیر کشور انگلستان و از اعضای حزب محافظه‌کار، در مصاحبه تلویزیونی با شبکه BBC این اتهام را رد کرد و با انتقاد از شورای مسلمانان انگلستان، این شورا را متهم به ارتباط با افراط‌گرایان نمود؛ اتهامی که شورای مسلمانان آن را انکار نموده است...

More than 350 Muslim organizations and mosques have collectively written to the Conservative Party urging them to launch an internal inquiry following allegations of Islamophobia. The calls for an inquiry have supported those made by the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) last week urging a full investigation to tackle the “more than weekly occurrences of Islamophobia from candidates and representatives of the party”.
UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid denied there was a problem with Islamophobia in the party on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show. ✅ شکاف سنی دین‌داری در سراسر دنیا
مطابق تحقیقات انجام شده، جوانان در مقایسه با افراد مسن کمتر مذهبی هستند. در ایالات متحده آمریکا گروه‌های مذهبی طی دهه‌های اخیر کمرنگ شده اند و جوانان نسبت به نسل‌های قبل پایبندی بسیار کمتری به معتقدات و آداب دینی دارند. این نتایج تنها منحصر به آمریکا نیست و طبق آخرین تحقیقات مرکز پیو در بیش از 100 کشور و منطقه جغرافیایی طی دهه اخیر، این نتایج عمومی می‌باشند. به عنوان نمونه، تعداد افراد زیر چهل سالی که دین را عامل "خیلی مهمی" در زندگی خود می دانند نسبت به افراد مسن‌تر کمتر می‌باشد و این مسأله تنها در کشورهای سکولار و ثروتمندتر مانند کانادا، ژاپن و سوئیس نیست و در کشورهای در حال توسعه و مذهبی‌تر مانند ایران، لهستان و نیجریه نیز صادق می‌باشد...

✅ The Age Gap in Religion around the World
By several measures, young adults tend to be less religious than their elders.
In the United States, religious congregations have been graying for decades, and young adults are now much less religious than their elders. Recent surveys have found that younger adults are far less likely than older generations to identify with a religion, believe in God or engage in a variety of religious practices.
But this is not solely an American phenomenon: Lower religious observance among younger adults is common around the world, according to a new analysis of Pew Research Center surveys conducted in more than 100 countries and territories over the last decade.
For example, adults younger than 40 are less likely than older adults to say religion is “very important” in their lives not only in wealthy and relatively secular countries such as Canada, Japan and Switzerland, but also in countries that are less affluent and more religious, such as Iran, Poland and Nigeria...

In the United States, religious congregations have been graying for decades, and young adults are now much less religious than their elders. Recent surveys have found that younger adults are far less likely than older generations to identify with a religion, believe in God or engage in a variety of religious practices.
But this is not solely an American phenomenon: Lower religious observance among younger adults is common around the world, according to a new analysis of Pew Research Center surveys conducted in more than 100 countries and territories over the last decade.

But a new analysis of Pew Research Center data on educational attainment and religion suggests that economics, not religion, is the key factor limiting the education of Muslim women.
It’s true that, historically, Muslim women have received less schooling than females of other major religions. More recently, however, Muslim women have been catching up – not only with Muslim men but also with other women around the world.
As Muslim women move up the educational ladder, the role of religion as a predictor of academic attainment is diminishing.

✅ گشودن درهای مسجد ویکتوریا بر روی مسیحیان وحدت‌گرا پس از تخریب کلیسایشان
مدیریت مرکز اسلامی ویکتوریا در لندن، طی دیدار با گروهی از مسیحیان وحدت‌گرای جهانی از آنان دعوت کرد تا از بخشی از فضای مسجد برای انجام مراسم عبادی‌شان استفاده کنند. کلیسای این گروه به علت تصادف یک خودرو با قسمتی از ساختمان، آسیب دیده و غیر قابل استفاده شده بود.

مدیریت مرکز اسلامی ویکتوریا در لندن، طی دیدار با گروهی از مسیحیان وحدت‌گرای جهانی از آنان دعوت کرد تا از بخشی از فضای مسجد برای انجام مراسم عبادی‌شان استفاده کنند. کلیسای این گروه به علت تصادف یک خودرو با قسمتی از ساختمان، آسیب دیده و غیر قابل استفاده شده بود.
پیش‌تر این گروه مسیحی در سال 2017 به مسلمانان این منطقه اجازه داده بود تا مراسم مذهبی خود را در کلیسای این گروه برگزار کنند. این مرکز اسلامی در آن تاریخ به علت آتش‌سوزی توسط اسلام‌ستیزان برای مدتی تعطیل شده بود...

✅ Victoria mosque opens doors to Unitarians after crash damages church
Members of the Victoria Islamic Center know what it’s like to lose a place of worship. “We welcome you. This is your place,” Abe Ajrami, treasurer for the Islamic Center, said Sunday morning to a group of about 30 Unitarian Universalists. Their church rendered unserviceable by a bizarre and unfortunate car crash days earlier.
But Sunday’s service continued as planned at an auxiliary building on the Islamic center property, where the mosque destroyed by arson in January 2017 remains under reconstruction. While sociological research on religion in urban contexts has proliferated in recent years, the city has less frequently been taken explicitly as a relevant dimension in the study of religion.
On the one hand, religious communities have begun to adapt to trends of urban change such as sub-urbanization and de-industrialization by establishing places of worship in shopping malls, former industrial warehouses, newly established industrial estates and other commercial zones. On the other hand, and especially in Europe, a rapidly increasing number of traditional church buildings are closed and repurposed as a consequence of dropping membership and resulting financial pressures.
The aim of this workshop is to explore the conditions, forms and consequences of the ways urban religion is revitalized, spatialized and governed in contemporary cities…
