Nasrin Shakarami, mother of Nika Shakarami, one of the victims of the nationwide protests of 2022, has announced that her other daughter Aida Shakarami was arrested on Wednesday, April 17, for not observing the compulsary veil by the Tehran security police. Ms. Shakarami posted on her Instagram that on Thursday morning, April 18, Aida was transferred from the Moral Security Police to Evin and from Evin to Qarchak women's prison. Aida Shakarami's Instagram page has been unavailable since Thursday.
