According to information received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, three citizens residing in the city of Asmanabad in northern Ilam Province—identified as Ahmad Kouhzadian, Armin Asadian, and Alireza Ghasemnejad—were reportedly arrested in a violent manner in mid-May 2026. To date, no official information has been released regarding their fate, place of detention, or current condition.

According to reports from informed sources, these individuals have been denied access to legal counsel as well as contact with their families throughout their detention. In addition, some reports have attributed the charge of “collaboration with Mossad” to them; however, as of the time of this report, these allegations have not been officially announced by judicial authorities.

Meanwhile, some sources have claimed that Starlink devices were confiscated during the arrests. Due to communication restrictions and the lack of access to independent information, these claims cannot currently be independently verified or conclusively confirmed.

In light of similar past cases and multiple reports of due process violations in such contexts, there are serious concerns regarding the situation of these three citizens and the extent to which their fundamental rights are being respected.
