According to a report received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC), a number of individuals detained in recent weeks and newly transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj are first taken to solitary confinement cells in Unit 3, where they are reportedly held for several weeks under harsh conditions and subjected to torture.
The source stated that during this period, detainees are beaten with batons and PVC pipes. The report names Hamed Mohammadzadeh, Reza Naseri, and an individual identified as Najafi as the ward chief and guards allegedly involved in these abuses. It also states that detainees are later transferred to Hall 37 of Unit 3, where they are reportedly threatened and beaten by another official identified as Nasrollah Ghaffari.
