According to a report received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, Niloufar Masoudi, a bank employee, resident of Baharestan in Isfahan Province, and mother of two, was shot and killed on January 9, 2026, in her hometown, in front of her family members.

According to the report, following the shooting, her brother held her body in the yard of their home until the early morning hours in an attempt to prevent its removal. However, at approximately 5:00 a.m., security forces took Ms. Masoudi’s body away.

Based on the information received, her family was able to retrieve her body about one week later, after which she was laid to rest.

Due to restrictions on access to information and the prevailing security conditions imposed on the families of killed citizens, independent verification of all details of these reports is currently not possible.
