According to information received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, pressures and threats by the Nabi Akram Corps of the IRGC in Kermanshah and the Kermanshah Intelligence Office against Mr. Seyed Nasreddin Heydari, the spiritual leader of the Yarsan community, have increased in recent days.
According to these reports, security authorities have separately requested that Mr. Heydari issue public messages of condolence and congratulations on the death of Ali Khamenei and the selection of Mojtaba Khamenei as the new supreme leader. Informed sources state that Mr. Heydari has refused to comply with this request.
The reports further indicate that certain security officials have threatened to arrest Mr. Heydari’s eldest son if he does not cooperate. These threats appear intended to pressure him into complying with the stated demands. It has also been reported that threats of severe punitive measures against the broader Yarsan community have been raised.
