According to a report received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, Seyyedeh Zeinab Razmjou, 63, a native of Dehdasht in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad Province, was killed by her son-in-law on Thursday, 19 February 2026, in Ardakan, Yazd Province.
The report states that on the day of the incident Ms. Razmjou was a guest at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Ardakan. After leaving a mosque, she encountered her son-in-law and a brief exchange took place. The assailant then attacked her with a knife, struck her on the head, and used a brick to render her unconscious before dragging her behind the mosque. According to the report, he subsequently delivered multiple blows to her head with a brick and inflicted several deep knife wounds, resulting in her death. The report adds that the entire incident was captured on closed-circuit surveillance cameras.
