Update | According to new information provided to the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC), Pedram Safarpour, a citizen from Kerman who was arrested during the recent protests, has been charged with moharebeh (waging war against God).

Under Islamic law, the charge of moharebeh can carry the death penalty.

Due to severe communication restrictions and the ongoing internet shutdown, independent verification remains impossible at this time.
