On January 19, 2026, Tasnim news agency affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), citing the public relations office of the Tharallah Corps in Kerman, reported the identification and dismantling of what it described as an “organized network” made up of Bahá’í individuals allegedly involved in unrest in the province.

The statement claimed that the network’s leaders were in direct contact with coordinators based in the United States and Israel and that, following the outbreak of protests last week, they organized members through virtual groups and deployed them in operational teams, allegedly using various types of equipment and weapons to carry out what it called “anti-security actions.”

The announcement further stated that the main figures of the network in Kerman had been arrested, while other active members had been identified and were being pursued.

It also claimed that two other “anti-security networks” linked to the same group had previously been dismantled in recent months.

According to a report received by the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, one of the Bahá’í citizens arrested in Kerman is Peyvand Naeemi. He was detained by security forces at his workplace in the city at 2:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
