A citizen named Mohsen Vafanejad wrote on X that the person depicted in a graphic video from Qom is his cousin, Hossein Rabiei.
Mohsen Vafanejad wrote: “My dear cousin, Hossein Rabiei… they tore him apart.”
In the video shared online, a person can be heard shouting: “They killed our children, they bombed [the area].”
The news channel Vahid Online also reported, citing a user, that Hossein Rabiei owned a well-known auto parts shop at Ghaffari Intersection in Qom. According to the report, Rabiei would always place a large water cooler filled with cold water outside his shop, with a note attached reading “In memory of Khodanour," a young Baluchi man killed during the 2022 Woman Life Freedom protests. This reportedly led security forces to repeatedly confiscate the cooler and summon Rabiei on multiple occasions.
Vahid Online further quoted another user saying that after Rabiei’s hand was severed, he asked someone to contact his father and inform him. However, when his father arrived at the address he was given, he could not find him. Rabiei’s body was later found several streets away. His body has still not been handed over to his family.
