Shahrzad Zamiri, a former Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA) officer and one of those arrested in connection with the January 2026 nationwide protests, appeared for her final interrogation session at the Military Prosecutor's Office in Mashhad on Monday, August 3. According to available information, she is facing five charges, including "disclosing state secrets" and "operational activity."

According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Zamiri's final interrogation session was held on Monday, August 3, at the Military Prosecutor's Office in Mashhad. Informed sources told HRANA that the charges against her are related to allegedly assisting protesters, adding that the agency is continuing to investigate the other accusations brought against her.

Before her arrest, Zamiri held the rank of colonel in FARAJA and served as Deputy Chief of the Security Police's Information Technology and Computer Division. A source close to her family said that she was dismissed from her position following her arrest and is currently being held in the Aramesh Ward of Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. The source also said that restrictions on her phone calls and family visits, which had been in place since May 22, have now been lifted.

Zamiri was arrested by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization in January 2026 in connection with the nationwide protests. She spent 43 days in solitary confinement under the custody of the Ministry of Intelligence before being transferred to the Aramesh Ward of Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
