Narges Mohammadi has long been a steadfast voice for human rights, calling for an end to religious tyranny and emphasizing that freedom, democracy, and equality can only be achieved through the active will and participation of the people.
If not in prison, Narges Mohammadi would be with the people, amplifying their voices and calling for an end to the theocratic regime.
In her absence, the Narges Foundation stands with those who have braved repression and turned the streets into arenas of struggle for freedom.
We stand with families who have lost loved ones, detainees held incommunicado, injured protesters denied safe medical care, and all those demanding the right to safety, freedom, justice, and a better future.
As the streets of Iran are once again engulfed in gunfire, tear gas, beatings, and mass arrests, we call on international human rights organizations and governments committed to human rights and democracy to take a firm and decisive stance against this violent repression.
The Narges Foundation calls on the international community, UN human rights mechanisms, civil society and human rights organizations, democratic governments, world leaders, the EU, and the European Parliament, to take immediate, concrete, and coordinated action to support the Iranian people, stand in solidarity with human rights and women's rights activists, civil society members, and all victims of repression in Iran, amplify the voices of the Iranian people, defend their fundamental rights to life, freedom of expression, and peaceful assembly, and demand the immediate release of all political prisoners.
"Victory is not easy, but it is certain."
