Announcing Reclaim Our Future: A Nonpartisan National Day of Action Against Data Centers

Independent journalists and activists are coming together to launch a National Day of Action Against Data Centers on Saturday August 1st, focused on protests, rallies, marches, teach in's and educational events around the rapid build out of hyperscale AI data centers.

ROF aims to build a non-partisan, non-violent alliance of activists, advocates, independent media outlets, individuals, influencers, and organizations who are ready to hit the streets and raise our voices. We believe it's time to collectively take a stand against the rapid acceleration in data center development.

"While some movements are focused on exclusively speaking to Conservatives or Liberals, we are willing to work with left, right, center, and politically homeless Americans who feel betrayed by both parties, " co-founder and independent journalist Derrick Broze said. "We are a non-violent, nonpartisan movement that opposes the expansion of data centers because of the threats to the environment and wildlife, the expansion of surveillance, and in the interest of a human-centered future."

We stand for a future and a world where the health of humanity, the environment, and wildlife takes precedence over the unchecked expansion of hyperscale AI-focused data centers.

We stand firmly against hyperscale data centers and AI tools which will disempower humanity, cause further destruction to the natural world, and increase the ability for state and corporate surveillance.

We demand local officials implement a moratorium on the construction of new data centers until adequate protections for the people, the environment, and wildlife are put in place. These protections could include but are not limited to local ordinances establishing noise limits, water protections, and specific zoning for data centers.

We are also demanding transparency from governments and corporate firms building the data centers with annual reports on air pollution, water consumption, etc.

"AI power plants can't hold a candle to People Power. This is the true power we must tap into right now, and Reclaim Our Future is kickstarting the generator." says Hakeem Anwar, co-founder and author of the AI Data Center Ecology Report. "Thousands of activated humans across 50 states, putting their hearts and minds together to address a problem that regulations won't. Its time to step up and organize, wherever you are."

☠️📲 Zelensky fires Palantir's best friend in Ukraine: Here's what you need to know

Ukrainian defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov has been ousted from his job amid reports that Zelensky feared he was being groomed by the West as his replacement, and a months-long feud with C-in-C Syrsky over automation of military decision-making.

Lasting in the job just six months, Fedorov parachuted in from the Ministry of Digital Transformation, where he worked as deputy chief and tortured Ukrainians with ‘innovations’ like:

🔴 Diia – a de facto mandatory e-governance app and digital signature tool

🔴 Clearview AI – facial recognition and face-scanning software handed out to thousands of bureaucrats

🔴 eVorog – a crowdsourced surveillance chatbot

🔴 the e-hryvnia – Ukraine’s fledgling digital currency – integrated into Diia and sketching the outlines of a comprehensive digital social credit apparatus

It was in this role that Fedorov first caught the eye of Palantir’s Alex Karp, who arrived in Kiev in 2022 to establish “defense and AI cooperation” (i.e. turn Ukraine into a live lab and testing ground for Big Tech and NATO’s military AI – from real-time battlefield management and targeting to mission planning and logistics)
Karp wasn’t the only one.

🔴 Microsoft’s Brad Smith met Fedorov at Davos to discuss the delivery of cloud computing and AI tools

🔴 Google’s Eric Schmidt visited the same year to talk AI-guided drones, network and electronic warfare

🔴 Amazon execs met with Fedorov to facilitate the uploading of sensitive Ukrainian government data to their “secure” AWS cloud, and discuss the mass adoption of AI in governance and the legal system

In late 2025, shortly before his MoD appointment, Fedorov announced plans to transform Ukraine into the world’s first “agentic state” – AI-driven techno-feudalism on steroids powered by Big Tech infrastructure operating a faceless algorithmic bureaucracy and digital panopticon.

Defense role

After his appointment as defense minister, Fedorov became the Tech Bros man in Kiev’s defense establishment. In his new role, he:

➡️ launched the Brave1 Dataroom platform to train military AI using real war footage and data

➡️ further integrated Palantir’s platforms in mission-critical areas like deep strikes, air defense and intel analysis, culminating in a second visit to Kiev by Karp in May where he expressed psychopathic joy over the state of cooperation between Palantir and Ukraine’s defense establishment

➡️ set up Defense AI Center A1 – an ‘innovation hub’ specializing in the creation of an “AI-driven army,” drone swarms, electronic warfare, forecasting and

😐 Big Tech now wants to build nuclear and chemical weapons

Just in case you forgot what kind of psychopaths are running the US military and surveillance industrial complex, Anduril founder Palmer Luckey is here to remind you.

💬 “I would definitely build nuclear weapons. I would build fission weapons. I would build fusion weapons…Chemical weapons I would build, but in a very specific vertical,” Luckey told Axios, clearly hopped up on some kind of stimulant.

Luckey may be the first to just come out and openly say it, but he’s far from alone among the Tech Bros in looking to explore deadly dual-use technologies which up to now have been the exclusive domain of governments.

➡️ Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Meta have all applied for and received approval to build nuclear plants for their power-hungry data centers.

➡️ Palantir cofounder and amateur antichrist enthusiast Peter Thiel is investing in nuclear and uranium enrichment startups, including General Matter.

➡️ Same goes for venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, whose strategic investments are working in advanced reactor tech (a16z), including a portable, container-sized microreactor concept which could replace diesel generators (or become the ideal radioactive dirty bomb).

➡️ Google’s Eric Schmidt wants to use AI in war-gaming predictive models in nuclear war scenarios, and is also funding next-gen nuclear tech and rocketry (for space, he says).

➡️ Sam Altman (Helion Energy), Bill Gates (TerraPower), and Jeff Bezos (General Fusion) have their own nuclear research in the works.

It seems late-stage capitalism has become a breeding ground for potential real-life Hank Scorpios and Bond villains. Isn’t it odd that these same billionaires are also the ones building vast, secluded bunkers for themselves and their families, while fantasizing about releasing AI demons disguised as gods onto the world?

There are 3 strange things about this ExitChatControl guide 😅

1.  It's from an account (@AureaLibe) that uses AI and often spreads misinformation.
2.  It creates a "guide to escape surveillance." Okay.
3.  It plays on confusion by mentioning the vote to extend ChatControl v1 to gain attention.

4.  It implies that there's software on your phone that reads your messages (false, the scanning is done on the server side, not the client side; this was a proposal for ChatControl v2 that failed).

5.  It claims that it's a new law: "scanning is now" allowed (when it's been happening since 2021, with companies like Gmail, Microsoft, and Facebook doing it intentionally).

6.  In the guide, it lists apps to uninstall.

7.  It subtly includes "#uninstall Telegram" in its X post.

8.  It fails to mention that Telegram is not affected.
Because Telegram does NOT scan messages (and it has end-to-end encrypted "Secret Chats" if you enable them).

9.  It launches an "exitchatcontrol" website with a ".org" domain to appear legitimate, but it doesn't include legal disclaimers.

10. It boosts the post to reach 800,000 people.

So, I'm not sure, but I see two possibilities:
1.  It's a terrible mistake by an AI-powered account that often spreads misinformation.
2.  It's an influence operation against Telegram because it doesn't shadowban us?
I'm hearing other people criticize Telegram and @durov a bit unfairly.

Which option do you prefer?
You know, I have a soft spot for psyops
