🇵🇸 The freed prisoner Israa Ja'abis embraces her family members in her home in AlQuds after she was liberated today as part of the prisoner exchange deal.

Liberated prisoner #IsraaJaabis to Al Jazeera:

Praise be to God, we are ashamed to rejoice when all of Palestine is wounded.

There are many injured people inside the occupation's prisons.

Efforts must be made to free all prisoners from the occupation's prisons.

Young Palestinian girls were exposed to many things in the occupation prisons.

We were subjected to abuse and beatings in the occupation's prisons.

Behind these words, there is a lot of
oppression. We place our trust in God and then in the resistance to completely liberate the prisons.

🇵🇸 Liberated prisoner Fadwa Hamada arrives at her home in Sur Baher, AlQuds, after 6 years in the occupation prisons following her release as part of the prisoner exchange deal.

This is #FadwaHammad and her five children Mariam, Sadeen, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Adam.

In one of the prison visits, Mariam picked flowers for her mom. However, an Israeli prisoner confiscated the flowers. Then when Fadwa appeared behind the glass, Mariam tried to hug her but she couldn't, so she broke into tears.

Now, Mariam will hug her mother whenever she wants because Fadwa is free.

🇵🇸 Israa Jaabis, a Palestinian woman who suffered severe burns and was charged with attempted murder after her car exploded near an Israeli checkpoint in 2015, has been welcomed home by her family.

Speaking to media after her release late on Saturday night, Jaabis said: “My wounds are visible and my struggles, I don’t need to talk about.”

She described the emotions of yearning to be with family as the price prisoners pay.

She also expressed concerns about other Palestinians she had been imprisoned with who were not released, including young girls who she said cried when she was released “because they’ve been subjected to a lot of things”.

“I’m talking about the small girls. They’ve been through things that nobody should witness,”
#IsraaJaabis told journalists.

🇵🇸 Report : Interrogations, Arrests, and Indictments of Palestinian Citizens of Israel since 7 October - Adalah –

Since 7 October 2023, Palestinian citizens of Israel have faced political persecution and a severe crackdown on their freedom of expression and assembly. The repression of speech is the result of widespread and coordinated efforts between government offices, Israeli institutions, and far-right groups, all targeting Palestinian citizens and those who dare to express dissent against the military’s retaliatory attacks on Gaza.

Adalah's legal team cooperates with the High Follow-up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel and its Emergency Committee, as well as with lawyers, popular committees and partner NGOs in many towns and villages to monitor and document rights violations and to represent Palestinian citizens of Israel facing these criminal charges.

🇵🇸 Removing symbols of resilience: Israel demolishes Palestinian monuments in Jenin.

Israel has destroyed dozens of statues and monuments, which were built to honour Palestinians killed by Israeli forces.
The most famous was the sculpture of a horse in Jenin, in the Occupied West Bank.
Residents say the structure symbolised the endurance of the Palestinian people.

Al Jazeera’s Nida Ibrahim reports from Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank

The Jenin Horse, also known by its Arabic name Al-Hissan (The Horse), was a sculpture built in 2003 by the population of Jenin, in the West Bank, along with German artist Thomas Kilpper, made with scrap metal and pieces of wrecked cars that had been destroyed during an Israeli invasion of the city.Among the components of the horse was a large panel from an ambulance.

🇵🇸 Reminder : Who Profits - The Israeli Occupation Industry

Since its 1967 #occupation of Palestinian and Syrian land, Israel has developed an intricate system of #oppression, combining military force, technology, #infrastructure, and regulations to exert control over Palestinian and Syrian populations and further entrench its control over #land and #resources. Populations living under Israel’s military rule are denied basic civil liberties and are subject to arbitrary repressive violence by the Israeli military, police force, and private security personnel.

In the occupied
#WestBank, around 3 million Palestinians live within a complex mosaic of administrative areas carved out through the 1993 #OsloAccords. Under the Accords the West Bank was divided into three administrative areas (A, B, and C). #AreaA comprises approximately 18% of the West Bank and is nominally under full Palestinian control. Area B, comprising approximately 22% of the West Bank, is under the full administrative control of the Palestinian Authority(#PA) but under the military control of Israel. #AreaC, which comprises 61% of the West Bank, is under the full control of Israel through the Civil (Military) Administration in the West Bank.

These areas are separated and surrounded by a system of
#roadblocks, #fences, #walls, #barriers, and #checkpoints, as well as Israeli #settlements and roads designated for the exclusive use of Israelis. The movement of Palestinians between the separate areas is controlled by an elaborate #permit regime. Further, Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza require special permits to enter into areas annexed to Jerusalem, and #Jerusalem itself. Permits are allocated by the Israeli authorities according to secret security and economic considerations. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are blacklisted and cannot pass through any of the checkpoints, not even to #travel inside their own enclave to the next town or the surrounding area.

In
#Gaza, around two million people have been living under an Israeli-imposed land, air, and sea siege since 2007. The movement of people, goods, and services in or out of Gaza is almost completely blocked, and ongoing military attacks cause mounting casualties and infrastructure #destruction.

#Population control and arbitrary movement #restrictions separate families, severely limit access to #HealthCare, #education, and employment, and hinder economic development. Israel also utilizes its force and technologies to surveil and intimidate populations, as well as to quell any form of political activity and resistance, including the routine use of lethal crowd control weapons and live fire on civilian demonstrators.

Collective punishments in the form of military assaults, house
#demolitions, curfews, closures, and mass arrests are common. Presently, there are approximately 5,000 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli incarceration centers. About 1,000 are being held under administrative detention, i.e., without having been charged, tried, or sentenced.

Who Profits has identified three sub-categories of corporate involvement in Israel’s Population Control. Private Security and
#Surveillance Technology refers to corporate involvement in Israel’s growing Private Security and Surveillance #Technology Industries. The Wall and Checkpoints refers to Israel’s intricate mechanisms of control, physical segregation, and restrictions on the movement of Palestinians in the #oPt. Specialized Equipment and Services, refers to corporate involvement in the provision of services and equipment to the
Israeli military and security apparatus.
