🇵🇸 The freed prisoner Israa Ja'abis embraces her family members in her home in AlQuds after she was liberated today as part of the prisoner exchange deal.

Liberated prisoner #IsraaJaabis to Al Jazeera:

Praise be to God, we are ashamed to rejoice when all of Palestine is wounded.

There are many injured people inside the occupation's prisons.

Efforts must be made to free all prisoners from the occupation's prisons.

Young Palestinian girls were exposed to many things in the occupation prisons.

We were subjected to abuse and beatings in the occupation's prisons.

Behind these words, there is a lot of oppression
.
We place our trust in God and then in the resistance to completely liberate the prisons.

In one of the prison visits, Mariam picked flowers for her mom. However, an Israeli prisoner confiscated the flowers. Then when Fadwa appeared behind the glass, Mariam tried to hug her but she couldn't, so she broke into tears.

Now, Mariam will hug her mother whenever she wants because Fadwa is free.

🇵🇸 Israa Jaabis, a Palestinian woman who suffered severe burns and was charged with attempted murder after her car exploded near an Israeli checkpoint in 2015, has been welcomed home by her family.

Speaking to media after her release late on Saturday night, Jaabis said: “My wounds are visible and my struggles, I don’t need to talk about.”

She described the emotions of yearning to be with family as the price prisoners pay.

She also expressed concerns about other Palestinians she had been imprisoned with who were not released, including young girls who she said cried when she was released “because they’ve been subjected to a lot of things”.

“I’m talking about the small girls. They’ve been through things that nobody should witness,”
#IsraaJaabis told journalists.

Israel deports human rights defender documenting Palestinian home demolitions – Mondoweiss – 27/11/2023

Alison Russell was detained by Israeli forces while documenting home demolitions in Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank. She was deported following a perfunctory hearing where Israeli police accused her of "supporting terrorism."

In the case of human rights defender Alison Russell, the far-fetched charges of “supporting terrorism” or “keyboard terrorism” cover up the real reason for her detention and deportation. In court, the state asserted that “she had many times disrupted the activities of the #IOF troops, whenever she came in contact with them”. Indeed, it is highly disturbing for the troops to have outside observers and witnesses present where acts of oppression take place, which often constitute blatant violations of International Law.

🇵🇸 Removing symbols of resilience: Israel demolishes Palestinian monuments in Jenin.

Israel has destroyed dozens of statues and monuments, which were built to honour Palestinians killed by Israeli forces.
The most famous was the sculpture of a horse in Jenin, in the Occupied West Bank.
Residents say the structure symbolised the endurance of the Palestinian people.

Al Jazeera’s Nida Ibrahim reports from Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank

The Jenin Horse, also known by its Arabic name Al-Hissan (The Horse), was a sculpture built in 2003 by the population of Jenin, in the West Bank, along with German artist Thomas Kilpper, made with scrap metal and pieces of wrecked cars that had been destroyed during an Israeli invasion of the city.Among the components of the horse was a large panel from an ambulance.

🇵🇸 Why does Israel keep the bodies of Palestinians?

Dozens of Palestinian bodies have been confiscated by Israel in the occupied West Bank, since the war began on October 7.

Human rights organisations fear that many more are being taken away from Gaza and they may not be returned like several others whose remains have not been returned for years by Israeli authorities.

🇵🇸 Urinating on Prisoners: Why Humiliation is Functional in Israel’s War on Palestinians | Mint Press

Zionist militias, using advanced Western arms, conquered historic Palestine in 1947-48, they expressed their victory through the deliberate humiliation of Palestinians.

Much of that humiliation targeted women, in particular, knowing how the dishonor of Palestinian females represents, according to Arab culture, a sense of dishonor to the whole community.

This strategy remains in use to this day. When scores of Palestinian women were released following prisoner exchanges between the Palestinian Resistance and Israel, starting on November 24, there was very little room to hide the facts.

Unlike the 75-year-ago Palestinian community, this current generation no longer internalizes Israel’s intentional humiliation of women and men alike, as if an act of collective dishonor.

🇵🇸 Brother of Intifada icon Muhammed al-Durrah killed by Israeli strike | L'Orient Le Jour –

Local Palestinian media reported that Ahmad al-Durrah was killed Thursday by Israeli forces in #BureijRefugeeCamp in #Gaza, 23 years after his brother Mohammed was killed by Israeli soldiers in the lap of his father, Jamal. Mohammed's death was filmed and broadcast on France 2, a public national television channel, narrated by the station's bureau chief.

Mohammed al-Durrah was 12 when he was killed, crouched behind his father as bullets rained down around them, and the images and footage of them spread throughout the world, turning him into a symbol of the Second #Intifada (2000-2005) during which more than 3,000 Palestinians were killed across the occupied #WestBank and Gaza Strip.

In October, 2023, Israeli forces also killed two of Jamal al-Durrah’s brothers, a sister-in-law and a niece.

🇵🇸 The Wailing Wall of Palestine: Black September | 2020

This was the time when the Marxist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (#PFLP) came into being and would later on achieve a cult status within the Third World and a terrorist one without for their spectacular plane hijackings across the world. This was also the period when Israeli Prime Minister #GoldaMeir had infamously said, “There is no such thing as a Palestinian people.” So for the Palestinians the challenge was dual: to prove their identity as well as their independence.

Israel’s capture of the #WestBank in the 1967 war meant that Palestinians swelled into tiny #Jordan altering the demographic balance; which in turn meant that the only way King Hussein could remain the head of an artificially-carved country was to rely on #imperialism and Israeli #colonialism this hitherto has been the fate of the two other artificially created Arab states in the region, Kuwait and to a greater extent #Lebanon
