🇵🇸 Israeli army has told Palestinians in north Gaza to move south as offensive intensifies
Tens of thousands of Palestinians desperate to escape the attacks have fled to southern Gaza.
But towns in the south aren't safe either. Israel has targeted Khan Younis repeatedly in recent hours, killing at least four people on Thursday morning.
The UN says more than 70 percent of Gaza's population has been displaced since October the 7th.
Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reports from Khan Younis, Gaza for the latest updates.

🇵🇸 Bakeries go dark in Gaza as Israel cuts off fuel to 2.1 million people | Mondoweiss
As prices soar and essential goods disappear, famine conditions threaten to return to #Gaza following Israel's closure of the border and the suspension of the delivery of fuel and aid.
Bassam Qanna stands outside his bakery, which has been shut down for days now, as more than a thousand people pass by every day asking if there’s any bread. Each time, he has to tell them the same thing: his cooking gas has run out, and he can’t get more.
His bakery, like many others in #KhanYounis, relies entirely on the #WorldFoodProgram, which provides everything needed to make bread in exchange for a portion of the bakery’s output — usually 30 to 50 percent.

🇵🇸 Rafah no longer exists. This is part of Israel’s plan to permanently occupy Gaza. | Mondoweiss
Israel has completely wiped out Rafah, turning a fifth of #Gaza's territory into a giant #Bufferzone. This is part of Israel's plan to permanently remain inGaza and facilitate the ethnic cleansing of its people.
Over the past month, the Israeli army has been methodically emptying Rafah of its residents and leveling what remains of its buildings. The city of #Rafah and its surrounding towns are now virtually gone, with most residents having evacuated north to #KhanYounis and the #Mawasicoastline under artillery fire and the approaching sound of tanks and bulldozers.
Rafah has also been the site of several documented #massacres, including the first responders massacre in the #TalAsSultan neighborhood in late March, when the #IOF army opened fire on and executed 15 #paramedics and rescue workers from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society(#PRC) and the Gaza Civil Defense.
