tim anderson (@timand2037): "Congratulations to the people of #Vietnam who, on 30 April 1975, chased the monstruous #US imperialists from their country, tail between their legs. To this day the war media calls this victory "the fall of #Saigon", like the " fall of #Aleppo, etc . https://english.vov.vn/en/politics/domestic/april-30-1975-victory-an-undeniable-truth-in-history-post940696.vov" | Nitter | PussTheCat.org – https://nitter.pussthecat.org/timand2037/status/1520213560709812225#m
"Russian newspaper Izvestia: The major terrorist attack on #Aleppo was coordinated between Turkish, Ukrainian and French intelligence with Israeli support and American approval. The planning was two months ago and the attack was supposed to be next March, but the events in Lebanon contributed to the urgency."

🇸🇾 Syrian War Reminder
More than 500,000 people were killed, and over 13 million Syrians were displaced, about 6.7 million of whom sought refuge in neighboring countries and beyond.
The war caused widespread destruction, leaving cities in ruins, and severe humanitarian crises, including shortages of food, water and medical care due to International sanctions and US occupation of fertile lands.
The scale of the damage is almost without parallel. For comparison, just the 4-year-long Battle of #Aleppo (2012-2016) destroyed approximately 35,000 buildings in an area over four times larger than the Gaza Strip.

🇸🇾 Inside the HTS-Israeli campaign to eliminate Syria’s military engineers and scientists
On 27 November 2024, militants from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (#HTS), the former #AlQaeda affiliate in #Syria, launched a lighting assault on #Aleppo, Syria’s second largest city.
Amid the chaos, Armenian born professor Yervant Arslanian was assassinated by a suspected HTS sniper while attempting to flee the assault.
Arslanian had previously worked in Italy on weapons systems and was chief of the Syrian advanced weapons research design team at the Arab School of Science and Technology in Aleppo at the time of his death.Following the assassination, Syrian-Armenian journalist Kevork Almassian speculated that HTS was not acting alone.
“Guess who's also obsessed with Syria's scientific researchers? #Israel,” Almassian wrote on the social media site X.

The War That Changed Me Forever | Kevork Almassian
In this raw and personal 39th birthday special, I’m stepping away from the geopolitical maps of Syriana Analysis to share the real story of my journey—from growing up in Aleppo to seeking asylum in Germany. This is a reflection on the war that changed me forever and the personal battles I’ve fought behind the scenes.
In this reflection, I cover:
Life in #Aleppo: Growing up off-grid and the simplicity of nature.
The Reality of War: How 14 years of conflict destroyed a nation and its intellectual class.
Refugee Camps in Germany: The truth about my experience and the backlash that followed.
The Turning Point: My 2020 hospital stay and how I reclaimed my physical and mental health.
Building a Career, Not a Job: Why I left my easy job in Berlin to focus on SA
The Future of the Channel: New shows with Tarik Cyril Amar and our path forward.
Thank you for 39 years of life lessons and for being the reason Syriana Analysis exists today

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Military Buildup by Ministry of Defense Factions Along the Lebanese-Syrian Border, from Safita in Rural Tartous to Rural Damascus
Military movements and troop buildups by Syrian forces continue along the border strip with Lebanon, amid ongoing reinforcements across a number of border and strategic areas, against a backdrop of military redeployment and the insertion of fighters of various nationalities since the start of this year.
According to Syrian Observatory sources, the buildups have been concentrated at several points in western rural Homs, particularly in the villages of Al-Nazariyah, Hawik, and Al-Fadiliyah in the Al-Qusayr district, located near the Lebanese border with the Hermel and Akkar regions, as well as in the Talkalakh area and surrounding villages along the Lebanese border.
The military movements have also extended to other areas along the border strip, including the village of Tel Wa’aw and the village of Al-Dukaykah in rural Safita in Tartus Governorate, along with reinforcements and deployments in the Zabadani Plain and Madaya in western rural #Damascus, and the Qalamoun highlands stretching between Al-Nabk, Yabrud, Qara, Flita, and Al-Jarajir, reaching all the way to the border areas opposite Lebanon’s Baalbek-Hermel region.
In the same context, Observatory sources reported notable military activity in areas facing the northern Lebanese border, including the vicinity of the village of Al-Hissa in the #Akkar district, near Qleiat Airport, which borders Syrian territory in rural #Tartous.
In parallel with these movements, Observatory sources confirmed that Syrian forces have been withdrawing and transferring heavy weapons and military vehicles from areas in eastern rural #Aleppo, including Manbij, Ain al-Arab (Kobani), Tishrin Dam, Qara Qozak Bridge, and Maskanah, toward areas in rural #Homs along the Lebanese border, a move that points to a significant reinforcement of military capabilities and deployments along the entire border stretch.
