🇵🇸 Outside of Gaza, horrific rights violations against detained Palestinians are taking place in Israeli prisons
Following its documentation of Israel’s systematic, widespread, and intensifying policies of torture and abuse of Palestinians in Israeli prisons, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor voiced deep concern over Israel’s ill-treatment of these vulnerable detainees amid total impunity.
We documented cases of torture, humiliating abuse, and ill treatment of Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons. The rights group said that many of the #detainees are subjected to severe beatings, filmed without any clothes on, blindfolded, handcuffed, and forced to perform various acts against their will under the threat of torture
Video footage obtained by the our team shows Palestinian detainees being transferred to buses while they are naked and wearing blindfolds. Israeli soldiers are seen beating and purposefully insulting and humiliating the detainees, who they kept their heads bowed

Geneva - An impartial and urgent investigation is needed to probe the Israeli army’s torture and murder of Palestinian civilians detained in different areas of the Gaza Strip, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a statement issued on Monday.
Testimonies gathered by Euro-Med Monitor teams confirm reports published by Israel’s Haaretz newspaper about Israeli field executions of Gazan detainees. Additional detainees have died after being subjected to extreme torture and mistreatment in the “Sde Teman” Israeli army camp, located between Beersheba and Gaza.

🇵🇸 “They tortured us, subjected us to electric shocks. We suffered a lot.”
Some 60 Palestinian men detained by Israeli forces returned to Gaza on Monday, entering the territory through the recently opened Kerem Shalom crossing.
All of the men said they were tortured in an unspecified facility in southern Israel. One of the released detainees said that many of them were employees of the Palestinian Authority.

Beaten, buried alive and strip-searched by Israeli forces.
Hadeel Yousef Issa al-Dahdouh, from Gaza, describes her treatment during 54 days of Israeli detention, interrogation and torture. Hadeel says Israeli forces took her away from her two young sons – a four-year-old and a breastfeeding nine-month-old.
She says she was put on the back of a military truck with only male detainees. She was then taken to several detention camps inside and outside Gaza and interrogated about the 7 October attack on southern Israel and beaten by Israeli soldiers.
The soldiers told her she would be taken for half an hour, but Hadeel says she was detained for 54 days and away from her children for 80 days.

B’Tselem collected testimonies from 55 Palestinians held during that time and released, almost all with no charges. Their testimonies reveal the outcomes of the rushed transformation of more than a dozen Israeli prison facilities, military and civilian, into a network of camps dedicated to the abuse of inmates as a matter of policy. Facilities in which every inmate is deliberately subjected to harsh, relentless pain and suffering operate as de-facto torture camps.
