"“Welcome to Hell” is a report on the abuse and inhuman treatment of Palestinians held in Israeli custody since 7 October 2023.
B’Tselem collected testimonies from 55 Palestinians held during that time and released, almost all with no charges. Their testimonies reveal the outcomes of the rushed transformation of more than a dozen Israeli prison facilities, military and civilian, into a network of camps dedicated to the abuse of inmates as a matter of policy. Facilities in which every inmate is deliberately subjected to harsh, relentless pain and suffering operate as de-facto torture camps.

🇵🇸 Documentation of the rape of a Palestinian who was kidnapped last March from the Jabalia refugee camp by fighters from #Unit100 of the Israeli occupation army in the "Sde Timan" concentration camp.
After hours, he was transferred to the hospital, bleeding and suffering from a torn rectum, ruptured bowels, damaged lungs, and broken ribs.
It was found that two soldiers suspected in the rape case were lying in a lie detector test, where they were asked two identical questions. The first: "Did you insert an object into the Palestinian's anus during the search?" The second:
"Are you hiding the identity of the person who inserted an object into the Palestinian's anus?" They answered both questions with denial. The examiner found that with regard to both questions, they were lying.

Why should it be of any surprise that Israel’s self-proclaimed “most moral army in the world” uses #torture and #rape against Palestinians?
After all, this is the same military that for 10 months has used #starvation as a weapon of war against the 2.3 million people of #Gaza, half of them children.
It is the same military that since October has laid waste to all of Gaza’s hospitals, as well as destroying almost all of its schools and 70 percent of its homes. It is the same military that is known to have killed over that period at least 40,000 Palestinians, with a further 21,000 children missing.
It is the same military currently on trial for #genocide at the International Court of Justice (#ICJ), the highest court in the world.
If there are no red lines for Israel when it comes to brutalising Palestinian civilians trapped inside Gaza, why would there be any red lines for those kidnapped off its streets and dragged into its dungeons?

According to the family, they encircled the car and opened fire, unloading rounds through glass and metal with a density that transformed the vehicle into a cage of shrapnel. The windshield splintered inward as bullets tore through seats and bodies. Two children were struck — one killed, the other left in critical condition and on life support. Their father was shot in both legs, immobilized before being dragged from the blood-soaked interior and taken into PA jails and #torture chambers.

Global Sumud Flotilla activist Juliet Lamont described severe abuse by Israeli occupation forces after activists attempting to break the siege on Gaza were attacked in international waters and abducted aboard prison ships.
Lamont said detainees were subjected to a “planned campaign of violence” aimed at terrifying activists and preventing future solidarity missions to Gaza.
She recounted being cable tied, water tortured, and sexually assaulted while held by Israeli forces before being transferred to Ashdod.
“They’ve broken our bones but they haven’t broken our soul,” Lamont said. “Free Palestine.”
