#WIRED has published an article about #GrapheneOS with a history of the project nearly entirely based on fabrications from James Donaldson. #Donaldson has spent the past 8 years trying to destroy GrapheneOS and the life of the project's founder, Daniel #Micay. Donaldson has heavily engaged in fabrications with an ever changing story about the history of the project. #Copperhead was forced to drop nearly all of their claims in the ongoing lawsuit. Copperhead was also forced to discontinue their closed source fork of GrapheneOS and is a zombie company with no significant operations or revenue. Copperhead lacks any serious basis for the remaining claims in their lawsuit and it isn't a major concern for us anymore. Their claims have been thoroughly debunked at this point and are primarily an issue in the form of an extreme level of fabrications and harassment they started which is carried on without them. James Donaldson has been thoroughly proven to be a serial fabricator, scammer and thief. Despite this, WIRED listened to his tall tales and presented it as a history of GrapheneOS. We weren't given an opportunity to provide an actual history of the project based in fact as we were led to believe it wasn't a major part of the article and were barely asked about it.

The Justice Department is asking a federal court in Atlanta to treat a man’s erasure of his own phone as destruction of property, in the first known US prosecution built on a phone’s duress password.

Samuel Tunick faces one count under Title 18, Section 2232(a), a statute covering the destruction of property to stop the government from taking it. Prosecutors say he handed Customs and Border Protection officers a passcode that deleted the contents of his Google Pixel instead of unlocking it. His lawyers appeared before the court for the first time on Monday, arguing that officers ran a custodial interrogation without Miranda warnings, denied him a lawyer, and searched him unlawfully. They want everything obtained from the encounter suppressed.

Russia Blocks GrapheneOS Infrastructure, Forcing Two Server Moves | Reclaim The Net

#GrapheneOS is reporting that #Russia has started blocking the infrastructure that carries its services, forcing the project to move the traffic of its users in country to different servers twice in a matter of weeks.

The first time, Russian traffic was rerouted from a DataPacket server in Frankfurt to a Cherry Servers machine in Amsterdam. But then Russia started filtering that IP address space as well, and the traffic had to be moved again, this time to a Zare server in London.
