Tesla Can Now Watch You: Tesla Enables Cabin Cameras

Amazon’s Alexa Show can watch you. Google Nest Hub Max can watch you. Why not Tesla?

Three years after releasing its first vehicle with a cabin-facing camera, Tesla is finally activating it via a new software update. The cabin camera has plenty of owner-friendly benefits, like another set of eyes on people who might want to vandalize your car or steal from it. But it’s also something that could invade your privacy — and potentially testify against you in a court of law.

Elon Musk confirms Russian hacking plot targeted Tesla factory

A Russian hacker tried to recruit a Tesla employee working for the company's factory in Sparks, Nevada.

Earlier this week, US authorities arrested and charged a Russian national for traveling to the US to recruit and convince an employee of a Nevada company to install malware on their employer's network in exchange for $1 million.

While no court indictment named the targeted company, several news outlets specialized in covering the electric cars scene speculated today that the attack had very likely targeted US carmaker Tesla, which operates a mega-factory in Sparks, a town near Reno, Nevada.

While Tesla had not returned requests for comment on the topic, in a tweet earlier today, Tesla CEO Elon Musk officially confirmed that the hacking plot did, indeed, target his company.

Tesla Can Detect Aftermarket Hacks Designed to Defeat EV Performance Paywalls

You wouldn't download a car—but would you download a quicker 0-60 mph time?

The battle between automakers and aftermarket tuners is a war that has been waged for quite some time. While some manufacturers have embraced the movement, others are still fighting to protect their vehicles from being altered after they leave the factory, even going as far as encrypting vehicle ECUs to prevent tuners from fiddling with things. Electric vehicles have opened up a new front—manufacturers like Tesla can now create lower- and higher-performance versions of the exact same car using nothing but software.

Predictably, the aftermarket is working to defeat those pesky firewalls on the cheap to unlock a vehicle's full potential for everyone. Plugging in a dongle sounds simpler than wrenching, at least. But this new realm of modding comes with an equally new risk recently highlighted by a Tesla Model 3 owner on Reddit (as reported by Electrek)—that your connected car knows when you've hacked it, and it might be logging that data to use against you in a future warranty claim.

Revisiting Elon #Musk Lying About #Bolivia - #Tesla's Ties to ACISA, Which Bolivia Canceled Lithium Contracts With Days Before Coup

Musk Implied Tesla Had No Vested Interest in Bolivia's Lithium, "We Get Our Lithium From Australia" -LIE by Omission- Tesla Bought Batteries from ACISA, Whom Morales Reneged on Contracts Just Days Before Coup

In the aftermath of Musk appointing #WEF puppet shill Linda Yaccarino as Twitter / X CEO, many who are feeling betrayed and disenfranchised (as others are emanating “I told you so’s) are reflecting on red flags such as his alignment with transhumanism via Neuralink, or his contracts with the military via Space X.

But I want to revisit Bolivia, which has been effectively memory-holed.

...
Tesla bought batteries from ACISA, implying that Musk, Tesla and other companies that would benefit downstream from the ACISA deal had something to gain by a coup, by consequence of being clients of ACISA.

Elon Musk later denied ties between Tesla and special interests seeking access to Bolivia’s lithium reserves, as if Tesla had nothing to gain from Bolivia’s lithium reserves opening up to ACISA, which is a blatant lie - being that Tesla bought lithium batteries from ACISA...

Elon Musk was being disingenuous, implying that Tesla had no direct ties to the situation, and they had nothing to gain from ACISA’s deal with the Bolivian government that was axed Days prior to the coup..

Why did Elon Musk get away with distancing himself from the matter, with a dismissive Also, we get out lithium from Australia”…?

This was ignoring and trying to seemingly deflect from the reality that
Tesla was buying Lithium batteries from ACISA, the company which had managed to acquire the Lithium contracts only for the deals to be reneged on by Morales

Reminder #Elon #Musk Lied About #Tesla's Connections to ACISA, Battery Company that #Bolivia Canceled Lithium Contracts With Days Before Coup, Following Up Musk's "We Will Coup Whoever We Want To!" - Excerpt From "Revisiting Elon Musk Lying About Bolivia - Tesla's Ties to ACISA, Which Bolivia Canceled Lithium Contracts With Days Before Coup"

...In 2018, following Bolivia having initially struck the deal with ACISA, EE News Europe published the article, “German Venture Taps Bolivian Lithium Deposits

The introductory paragraph reads:

”With the planned establishment of a public-private joint venture between the Bolivian state enterprise Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB) and the German ACI Systems Alemania GmbH (ACISA), Germany is to gain access to the raw material. ACISA’s customers include Siemens, Continental, BMW, IBM,
Tesla, First Solar, Bosch and the Fraunhofer research company. “

RT reported on the matter, dedicating an entire article to it, “‘We will coup whoever we want’: Elon Musk Sparks Online Riot With Quip About Overthrow of Bolivia’s Evo Morales” - concluding with the sentence that “Although it’s true that Tesla receives lithium from Australia, it is also said to be one of ACISA’s clients.”

In other words, Elon Musk was being disingenuous, implying that Tesla had no direct ties to the situation, and they had nothing to gain from ACISA’s deal with the Bolivian government that was axed just days prior to the coup.

After coming across this, in the midst of the Bolivia story developing and breaking, I found it highly likely that the lithium issue was underpinning Bolivia’s coup, and highly improbable that the important lithium deal being axed days before the coup was a mere coincidence of timing. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck…

In My 2019 article... “

Is Musk Controlled Opposition? — Excerpt from "The Suspiciously Convenient Timing of Covid for the Davos Elite and the WEF's 'Great Reset'"

Musk, a self described “free-speech absolutist” is not such an absolutist after all. In retrospect, people should acknowledge that his company, Space X, has major contracts with the US military.
