The most important evidence, which shows God’s affection towards His servants, is His issuing religious orders and putting reward or punishment for people. More important than these, is His sending Prophets and Guardians even though He knew some people would not carry out His commands, would take them lightly, would not obey His beloved Guardians, and would harm them very much.

🔸In religiosity or planning for our lives, we are mostly in pursuit of finding out how we should behave. However, before planning for these parts that we “should” do, we have to look at the moments when we are not in #authority. We should pay attention that in many affairs we do not have any #choice at all. It is obvious that we are not #forced for our actions, but we should pay attention that we do not have complete authority either.

🔸The truth is that we cannot #change many things. Even the things that we can change, the amount of the change that we can make is limited. The Commander of the Faithful, Ali (‘a), said, “I came to know Allah, the Glorified, through determination being broken, by difficult problems being resolved and by ambition being lost.” [Nahj al-Balaghah, saying no. 250]

🔸Sometimes, a devilish movie tells a story, which results in strengthening a person’s arrogance. A devilish move is not necessarily a movie that contains bad scenes. Rather, it is a movie that makes us neglectful about the realities that are surrounding us. Furthermore, it lies to us and tells us that we can change all #realities.

🔸During recent years, some methods for spiritual training have become popular. They say with seemingly energetic, inspiring words, “You can change everything, and to do this you can even get help from God!” This is while God Himself has said that you are not able to change many things. You can only change some things.

🔸Sometimes, the realities that surround us are referred to using the word #destiny. What we mean by destiny is the part of our life, which is beyond our #control and is determined by God. In many cases, we call these accidental or natural events. Since they are repeated, we often consider them to be normal events. However, God has designed all of these events with His wisdom and providence. They are all in the hands of the Lord of the Universe.

🔸Some people believe divine destiny to only be involved in great and big affairs and not all the affairs in life from the smallest to the biggest of them. All of the details in our lives, which are beyond our control and will, are our destiny. The essence of our existence, the form of our existence, all the fixed or variable features of our existence, the conditions around us, and everything from our parents to the place where we are born, are all parts of our destiny.

🔸However, there are many factors, which affect our destinies. Our thoughts, interests, hopes, beliefs, deeds, actions, intentions and our prayers affect our destinies. God’s love for us, the Friends of God’s love for us, and the good or bad behaviour of the people around us are other factors, which affect our destiny but we do not control.

🔸Basically, the purpose of creation is for us to influence our destinies and build our future. However, we must pay attention to our #limitations. The most determining factor in our destiny is something other than these factors that have been mentioned. This key determining factor is the divine #tests.

A human being is a lonely creature, and he cannot eliminate his loneliness except with God. The best friendships with people in this world eventually turn into one being on his own again. A person’s loneliness is no other person’s fault. We should not look for a culprit. It is only through becoming fond of God that a person can emerge from his loneliness.

The path to repentance is open for a person since he is practicing and being tested in this world. However, rebelling against the God of the universe and sinning cannot be compensated for at all. A sinner is very much alone; because, the entire universe loves God and becomes the enemy of a sinner. In the same way, the universe befriends a person who obeys God.

🔻A person cannot do everything that he/she appears to have the authority to do.
🔻The intention of a believer is better than his/her actions..

👉🏼 Destiny (3)

🔸We cannot #change everything with our own authority. Changes can only take place within the limits set by God. Even in the places where we apparently have #authority and want to act, we still cannot do all the things we want to do.

🔸A person cannot do everything that he/she appears to have the authority to do. For example, a person is not able to carry out every crime that he/she wishes to do. Because the #destinies determined by God should allow him/her to commit that crime. Some people who commit some bad deeds and crimes may be resurrected with the pharaohs even though they did not even rule over a small village in this world! This is due to the fact that in this short time and opportunities that they had in this world, they did all the bad deeds and crimes that were possible for them and that they were able to do. [If they had been given the opportunities of a pharaoh, they would have behaved as he did.]

🔸The same thing is true about good people. For example, a person is not a very good person in appearances or does not do many extra worship acts that much. However, God gives him/her a number of small opportunities and he/she manifests his pure, internal being in these limited cases. God will resurrect him/her with the Friends of God and the great martyrs.

🔸The Holy Prophet of God (s) said, “The #intention of a believer is better than his/her actions, and the intention of a hypocrite is worse than his/her actions. Each person acts in accordance with his/her intention.” [Kafi, vol. 3, p. 218] Great scholars have interpreted this tradition in this way that a believer intends to do many good actions that he/she may not be able to do in practice. Therefore, the intention of a believer is always higher and better than his/her actions. On the other hand, an unbeliever intends to do many bad deeds that he/she is not able to do in action.

The least level of repentance is that you feel you have acted in ignorance, have harmed yourself and have done something to your own detriment. Then you become regretful and ask for God’s help to save you from the mire that you have fallen into.

Worshiping is different from all other daily actions, which we do to earn money or meet our worldly needs. Worshiping is not of the substance of this material world, in the same way that we do not belong to this material world either. 🔻Living individually or living in a family?

🔸The #family is the base for learning how to live in #society. Why is visiting relatives very important in Islam? Because, visiting your #relatives means communicating with those whom you are forced to have relations with and not just with those whom you have chosen and with whom you have fun. It is in this situation that we grow.

🔸 #Growth is in having relations with those who do not match you. You communicate and cooperate, and in this #communication and #cooperation, you must tolerate many things, which results in your growth. The more people’s lives become westernized the more separated from others they become. They even try to encourage families to have less children.

🔸 Imam Muhammad Baqir (‘a) said, “I am #patient with my servants and family’s actions, which are more bitter than a colocynth (a bitter fruit). Because, due to a person’s patience, he/she will reach the level of a person who fasts, is awake at nights worshiping and a person who is martyred while fighting alongside the Prophet (s)!” [Thawab al-Amaal, p. 198]

🔸 Some sensitive people call themselves believers, but they are not willing to tolerate being irritated in the least by any other believer! Therefore, they release themselves from such relationships and do not work with others.
