▪️ Fighters of the "Somali" battalion of the DPR People´s Militia managed to break the AFU defense in the northwestern part of the Peski settlement, where there were still pockets of AFU resistance. Closer to nightfall, footage emerged from the development behind the House of Culture, confirming the advance of the advancing forces.

▪️ At noon, the Defense Ministry reported the full capture of the settlement. Formally, the AFU can still control several multi-story buildings along Stepnaya Street on the northwestern outskirts of Peski, but even so, their mopping up is a matter of the near future.

In fact, we can now speak of the successful completion of the battle for Peski and the transition of the settlement, which has been one of the main nodes of Ukrainian defense at the site since 2014, to the control of the DPR People´s Militia.

▪️ In addition to the DPR's competent artillery personnel played a huge role in the storming of the settlement. It continuously hit Ukrainian formations and destroyed incoming reinforcements. The heavy TOS-1A Solntepek flamethrower systems hit fortified positions and opened the way for the advancing units.

The capture of Peski will allow the offensive to advance northward toward Vodyanye to reach Avdeevka from the west. There is also an opportunity to move northwest toward Pervomayskoye and Karlovka.

🇺🇺🇦 Battle for Kherson: the situation in the Andreevsky section

The outcome of the battle will be decided tonight or tomorrow, when the main reserves of both sides will be apparently thrown into battles, and it will depend on the speed of reaction of the Russian command in transferring additional troops there.

Ukrainian planners apparently aim at cutting off the Russian group in Izyum. So far, the enemy was advancing with relatively small forces (around 1500 men), losses of both sides low so far.

At the same time, up to two companies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an attack on Novovodyanoe north of Makiivka.

Both attacks were repulsed by servicemen of the 20th Army of the RF Armed Forces. Ukrainian formations retreated to Makiivka under concentrated Russian artillery fire.

While the world's attention is currently diverted by conflicts involving Jews and Arabs, this situation benefits us and poses significant challenges for Ukraine. Recent developments have provided us with some data; let's delve into the numbers.

According to data from the Lostarmour website, since the beginning of May, the AFU has managed to capture approximately 260 square kilometers of our territory. In simple terms, they have been taking around 1.625 square kilometers per day (260 divided by 160 equals 1.625). This has occurred despite their reserves, the delivery of weapons, and the inclusion of fresh, previously unused, and NATO-trained units.

In our report last Friday, we mentioned that active operations had commenced on our side in multiple sectors of the front. As of now, these actions remain primarily tactical in nature.

Over the past few days, we have managed to reclaim 6.2 square kilometers. It's worth noting that not all commanders immediately report their gains until they secure a firm foothold.

The AFU deployed disproportionately large forces in their offensive operations, expending them almost in vain, without achieving a single significant strategic goal despite enormous resource investments. As the saying goes, 'Feel the difference.'

For Ukraine, this is just the beginning, as the next round of escalation in the Middle East has already captured the attention of Western viewers. However, for Zelensky's media team, this presents a significant challenge.
